Quick Stats
The Dragon's Fury isn't like any other flame blaster available on the market. It shoots a fireball instead of spraying flames. It can be obtained by completing the free Pyroland contract "The Dragon's Fury" or by redeeming a Dragon Slayer War Paint.

Now let's talk stats:
-------------------------
The Dragon's Fury does 23-25 damage to a nonburning player at medium range. At point blank range, it does 28-30 damage to a nonburning player. When hit, a player will suffer 2 seconds of afterburn damage at 4 damage per tick, and a pyro will endure a tick of afterburn. When a burning player is hit, the Dragon's Fury does 75 damage. On minicrits, the Dragon's Fury does 35-40 damage with a boosted 5 damage per tick of afterburn.

The weapon fires 1 fireball every 3/4 a second, and that rate will lower to 1/2 a second on consecutive hits. Airblasting slows the weapon's fire rate to about 1 1/2 seconds. Upon airblasting an ally, you will be awarded 20 health.

The Dragon's Fury loads 1 charge at a time with 40 reserve.
Advantages and Disadvantages
This weapon is radically different from the other flamethrowers, so why should you (or shouldn't you) use it?

The Pros
  • The 1 tick of afterburn to enemy pyros means you can crit them and kill them in less than 2 seconds
  • Light classes only take 3 hits to kill
  • Awards an aggressive playstyle

The Cons
  • No freedom of flame spraying
  • Snipers with the DDS take 11 hits to kill
  • Airblasts have a greater opportunity cost
Skins
The Dragon's Fury comes in two seperate forms:
The first is the plain form obtained from the Dragon's Fury contract

The second is the Dragon Slayer form obtained from redeeming a Dragon Slayer war paint

the dragon slayer skin has wasted potential, they could have made a rare drop from completing contracts but they made it the most common elite grade
