"Ugh, alch again" a player sighs as they ready themselve for their inevitable fate.

One of the most prevalent problems most players have when playing alch is that they are either killed off by the bd or by the cult. The reason for why this always happens is simple: you're useless. When a paladin does nothing for the entirety of the game, they are typically killed off, so why shouldn't you be treated the same? Alchemist is essentially a physician that doesn't have to worry about who is a bd. What you can do to make yourself actually useful is stick to the king, one of the more powerful players in the game. Heal him every night and basically invite to be his loyal pet in return for him vouching for you. Once you do that, your position is garaunteed safe from the bd. Bd will have every reason to trust you as long as you can have someone to vouch that you healed them. Your biggest threat would be outside roles, but the game wonderfully provides you with a night immunity potion that with careful timing can save your life.

What makes achelmist so much fun for me is not having to worry about who is cult or bd, just follow what the king says and mess around in the meantime.
