The advantage of laser guide bombs
Player can use various anti-radar weapons in F-16 game. Such as AGM-88, AGM-65B/G.

But if a SAM site is like this:

Or the radar is a building:

Then a missile will hit the surrounding obstacles first. So player must fire more than one missile to destroy radar.

Laser guide bomb (LGB) has none of these problems. It will blow up everything.
Step 1: Activate LGB and lock a target
First you need to carry any type of LGB (GBU-10, GBU-16, GBU-12).

Turn off your radar. It will decrease the detection range of enemy ground radars.

Press Scroll Lock button. You can see a red "L" appear at lower right corner of screen.

Select a radar target (SAM site, radar building, missile frigate, etc) and press CTRL+END combination key.

Now look at the left side of your HUD. Below the airspeed indicator, it will display these information:

EO SLAVED
LASING

Step 2: Throw a LGB
The best bombing altitude is 9000 ft. Airspeed must not lower than 500 knots.

Approach the target. If the relative distance is less than 10 nm, then pitch up your plane.

Throw the LGB when you can see a "DROP" text displayed at center of HUD.

Make a sharp turn (180 degrees) immediately before enemy can fire a missile at you.

You don't need to lock on target any more. Because LGB can remember a static target's location.

Thank you. This game has a really terrible documentation, it doesn't explain a thing. It' ridicolus that I had to check manual from Falcon 3.0 just to undestand how some system works.
