pfft
But, I felt it needed validation, 4 years later, now we're in 2021.
Seph.au 's suggestions worked for me, from 'Word Zot' . (Aussie for from the beginning. )
My Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Launch Options: now look like this:
+com_skipBootSequence 1 +com_skipKeyPressOnLoadScreens 1 r_disableSteamOverlay 0[/]
Plus, I haven't had, a single problem, in over 43.4 hours during the past 2 weeks .
Thank You seph.au

The first thing you need to do is track down the library listing for Wolfenstein II in your Steam Library. Right-click the entry for the game and select “Properties”. Once the Properties screen pops up, click the button labeled “SET LAUNCH OPTIONS”. In the prompt that pops up on your screen, paste in the following command:
+com_skipBootSequence 1
Click Okay on the command prompt and the properties dialogue window and you are good to go!
