Observation
There is a couple things that can happen that is worth noticing and observing. First thing is the generators progression as you past them. Generators that were not started and when you pass again they have been started notifies you that there is a survivor in the close vacinity or has been recently.

You can also see survivors heads from a far distance in the fog. Example-

Survivor at a distance

When this happens go for them but at a offset, if you go directly to them they will know the jig is up and bolt. If you go at a offset towards them they will continue to hide because why would they think that you know exactly where they are?
Red Stain
The redstain is a glow of red light infront the killer for survivors to visibly see what direction the killer is facing which is usually a negative. But since it's in the game we use it to our advantage by hiding it to bait surviors from obscure walls or running that extra loop in order to hit them.

To do this you first have to understand exactly how far it goes to maximize effectiveness of hiding it and baiting them out; knowing exactly what they see. Once you are comfortable the best way to do it is to walk backwards when you are appoaching the survivors point of vision until they see your killer before the redstain.

Further

Closer

This doesnt have to only be used at obscure walls where it is most effective but it also works at short loops where the survivor is visually watching you when they run their loop. By pretending your changing direction by facing the opposite way but continuing the same way this will make the survivor hesitate reducing the gap, making it short enough for you to get a hit on them before they get to the pallet again.

Adapting
Adapting
By adapting I mean understanding each survivors playstyle when you first encounter them. Such as pallet looping or going back the same window. By gathering that infomation you can counter them because they rely to hard on it.

A good example of adapting to a survivor is not falling for dead hard a second time. Once you know they have it, dont fall for it more than once.
Blinds
When picking up a survivor it is essential that you always face a obstacle to block survivors blinding you making you drop the survivor. If you cant face any near obstacle, picking a random direction to face or facing away from a known survivor before picking survivors up, making the survivor with the torch run a further distance to get in front of you to try and blind may make the difference between them making you drop the survivor or not. Looking completely up when walking towards a hook or quickly snapping what way you facing will deny flashes on the move.

Unpredictability
Unpredictability
Being unpredictable is key for winning against seasonal rank 1 survivors. If you do the same stratergies every time, they will adapt to you which is exactly what you don't want. Ways to be unpredictable are pretending you lost them at a jungle gym and catch them off guard as they will hide thinking you will walk past because in their mind, they think you think they arn't there. Also occasionally swinging through pallets or straight up pretending to be worse than you actually are.

Generators
Generators
Knowing your own ability to 4 man before gates are powered. Either by snow balling hooks or delaying generation delay perks such as Hex: Ruin or Overcharge
Pallets
Pallets are in the game for survivors to get away, but good survivors run loops around them to maximize their time with killer, whilst their teammates do generators. To counter this there is a few different ways such as using your redstain or swinging through which works alot of the time but other times they don't because the survivor baits a swing and they run another lap so change your tactics every so often to secure a hit on the survivor.

Pathing
Pathing
Bait survivors into going into a certain part of the map where they are put at the disadvantage such as a part of the map where pallets have already been broken or where there is least amount of obsticals. Weigh it up in your mind when approaching a gen which angle you should come from to make them run away from you to minimise chase time.

Maps
Maps
There are good and bad maps for each individual killer so learning your own way to play each map for your main killer is necessary for constant 4 man games, dont let your worst map decide your win or lose.

I almost want to add 'Don't be afraid to do things you hate happening to you as a survivor. Sometimes this can lead to high tier altruism which works in your favor'
