This is actually extremely easy.

1) After launching the game, click on "Collection" in the top left corner.
2) The game will freeze, sometimes for up to 10 seconds.
3) Once it unfreezes, scroll up and down to load all freelancer portraits.
4) Done.

The reason why this works is simple: For some unknown reason, this game doesn't preload anything when you launch it. This means that everything is loaded on the fly, and it usually results in stuttering, freezes, and sometimes crashes during the loading process of the first few games you play after launching the game.

Now, why the "Collection" tab triggers the loading of most stuff, I have no idea, but it does.
