Overview
This guide will attempt to guide players on some of the core mechanics in such a way that will allow players to achieve success in early matches. This is largely achieved by making use of the natural balance of the game and how each faction/ship functions early on.

The guide will cover.

UK Faction bonuses and there effects.

Blitzkrig match types, and why they are special.

General tips and strategies to use when employing this tactic.
Blitzkrieg (A newbies friend)
Blitzkreig allows newer players to get familiar with the game without running into many of the aspects that you have to watch out for in high level lobbies. This is due to the fact Blitz is limited to level 60 and below, and only so many Battleships (BB) and Carriers (CV). This makes this the ideal room for any new players.

* Majority of your opponents will tend to be Destroyers (DD) and Cruisers (CL).
* Will see occasional BB, Heavy Cruiser (CA), and CVs.
Faction Supremacy -- UK
The United Kingdom (UK) faction is largely designed around slow, heavy hitting ships. With cannon strength above the average, and armor well beyond any other faction. The trade off is with less range then other factions, and the obvious speed loss.

These benefits and weaknesses are in best shape for Blitz matches, due to how these matches tend to play out.

1. Most players in Blitzs matches have short range weapons. It comes with the territory of having few BB/CA in the match.

2. It is rare for a ship below CA classification to have above a 6 inch gun. Leading to a overall ease of blocking their shots with armor.

3. It is rare for ships to even bother equiping Armor Piercing (AP) rounds in a Blitz.

In short the benefits of the UK gunboat line are in prime form for Blitz, while not really suffering from its weakness.

Overall Strategy (TL:DR Other sections)
The idea here is to go with a UK battleship style crew (2 Accuracy Gunners, Bridge Operator, any support crew you deem neccesary) Any crew other then the gunners can largely be downcrewed to reduce weight. (Remove as many recruit grade sailors from the unit to lower its weight) The point here is to have effective gunners, without weighing down the ship to much.

The strategy works in low level matches, but you wont start to see the primary effects until level 28. This is when the 1st ship arrives in the UK lines that excels with this strategy.

The Dido (UK Cruiser level 28 required)

The plan is to get to this ship (and its improved remodel at level 34 the Sirius). This will not take very long (roughly 28 matches) during the current event. (Event ends Dec 5, 2017)

Once you have the Dido equip the largest Twin barreled cannons you can, with a focus on the D varient. (The D varient of a gun is the lightest, shortest range, with the highest fire rate) The best gun you can equip will change as you level, since newer better guns are unlocked as you level. You should be able to equip dual 5.25in cannon at start, since these only require level 27 gunners.

Once equipped but 4 cases of HE(Heavy) shells in each gun. (200 rounds) this should handle any match you go into, without adding unnecessary extra weight.

From their equip the best FCS(Auto) you have access to, and the most powerful engine available.

The final step once you have your sailors loaded up is to put as much belt armor as possible onto the ship. Depending on the weight of your crew you should be able to get about 10 inches of belt armor.

From here simply go into Blitz and blast your way through your opponents, largely able to ignore enemy cannon fire thanks to your heavy UK armor.
Tips & Tricks
1. You are tough, but not unbeatable. Keep an eye on who you are facing. If you have begun to recognise enemy ships, avoid going near enemy torpedo ships. These are your worst enemy. Also avoid enemy battleships, and any heavy cruiser with 8+ inch guns if you can.

2. Practice dodging torps, its not very hard if you are careful, dont be afraid to get REALLY close. Torps have a minimum activation range. Especially in matches against newer players they tend to underestimate the activation range and waste their torps.

2.A. Keep in mind if enemy ships are in front of a torp ship. Use these as a shield to get in close. They cant fire torps through their teammates.

2.B. When dodging torps be willing to take 1 or 2, its much better then getting hit with the entire wave because you thought you could get clear.

3. Try to get the enemy team focused on you, with this much armor anything under 6 inch guns, will largely be ignored. Make it a close range slugfest, where you can unload your guns freely, without worrying about torps. (Enemies also tend to avoid torp launches near allied ships)
