A Guide to Colours in Counter Striek: Global Offensive
By Pranafox
From blue to yellow, we count five colours that seem to actually mean something depending on who gets them in CS:GO. Here's what they mean!

Curiosity
Curiosity - ah, yes, something we all struggle with from time to time. What could you possibly be hiding? What did he mean by that statement? What in the world do the colours mean in CS:GO? Well, today I'm here to answer one of these questions for you - from personal experience! Here's my explanation for the meaning behind the colours players get designated to them in CS:GO.
Blue
My most common colour - blue. This colour seems to correlate with someone who carries in-game an awful lot, and usually by a good margin. Almost every time, the player with the colour blue representing them has ended up on the top of the team's scoreboard in every game I've played, and seeing as I carry most of my games and get blue designated to me almost every single time, this suggests that blue is always someone who tops the scoreboard in most if not all of their games.
Orange
Orange is usually the designated marksman of the team - this is from my experience with one of my friends having rather nice aim with snipers in-game and usually landing the colour orange. Orange normally second or mid-frags or scores, with quite a few kills and a great many assists.
Purple
Purple is the other colour designated to someone likely to second- or mid-frag or score in your games. However, there's a catch. Purple players are not usually team players - they're likely to start insulting you for any tiny thing, nitpicking at any mistake you might make and yelling at you if you die, even if your k/d is twice, thrice, or four times his. Purple generally rages about everything and is likely not above teamkilling and griefing to take his "rightful" place back at the top of the scoreboard by any means necessary. Generally speaking, purple is usually the second- or mid-fragging troll of the team who may or may not completely drag you down.
Green
Green never is the best decision maker. Green usually means a player is likely to lurk in the dumbest places and take exorbitent amounts of time to rotate from where he wants to camp to where he needs to be. Though one thing can be expected from green - a lot of your team's kills are things he actively participated in, doing heavy damage to most enemy team members.
Yellow
Yellow is exactly what you'd expect. Normally, yellow is the bottom fragger and plays in a way his colour reflects quite heavily. He's a coward. He's slow to push, slow to decide, slow to rotate, and generally slow to help his team. Essentially, your yellow is bait and you should stick around him more than ridicule him. You should have his back as much as you'd like him to have yours, because cowards are more likely to play safe and less likely to die. Let yellow players make some of the major play decisions, and you might be surprised - you might actually turn a 14-0 to a 14-16 comeback game. Don't take my word on it, though.
