Role of the Ninja
As a ninja, your agility and quick bursts of damage make your primary role to finish off any retreating enemies, quickly kill a single target, or cause confusion in a croud of enemies.

This guide will cover your ways of approaching and managing your enemies, along with basic tactics to help fulfill your role.
Your weapons and tools
As a ninja, you'll have five basic weapons at your disposal.

Your katana and main source of damage. This will typically be your first or second hit on your assault.

Your makibishi, or caltrops, are relatively weak compared to your other weapons damage-wise, but are still efficient in trapping and weaking your target.

Your shuriken, which will be used in weakening and keeping a safe distance with the enemy,

and your kunai, which will be used in approaching and chasing down your enemies.

Lastly, your scroll. They come in variety, so one might fit your playstyle better then others, while another might help you counter the enemy.
Approaching the enemy - Scrolls
Ninjas have three ways of approaching their enemies, the first and most common way is your scroll.
There's a total of three variants to your scrolls: Invisibility, Teleportation, and Cloning. However, each scroll will share one same aspect: Your next attack will do extra damage.

Using invisibility scrolls are very straight-forward, and should be used to sneak up to an enemy undetected, and to suddenly attack. You can still be killed while cloaked, so try to go from behind the enemy while cloaked.

Teleportation scrolls are for the more aggressive ninjas, mainly used to quickly close the gap between an enemy, to suddenly get behind them for a backstab, to dodge a rocket or grenade, but can still be used for a quick escape.

Lastly, the cloning scrolls. The main use of these scrolls are to confuse your enemies, causing them to waste their clip on your clones so you can safely chop them up with your katana. They're not the best for escaping or closing the gap however, since you're still in the same position as when you summoned your clones.
Approaching the enemy - Kunai
The second form of approaching the enemy is the kunai and their ability to teleport you around. There's also three variations to the kunais, Teleport on contact, Teleport on damage, and Teleport when activated. Kunais all share the same function, regardless of their variations: closing the gap with the enemy or retreating.

Teleporting on contact means whenever the kunai touches something, whether it be the environment or enemy, you'll be instantly teleported. Because of this, the Kunai of Disappearances is perfect for a hit and run tactic. Be sure to time the throw carefully, because teleporting in front of a point-blank attack isn't the best outcome for you.

The Kunai Transporter is a more complex weapon, where it'll only teleport you when you hit an enemy, and it'll switch places with you and the enemy. While switching places, it transfers any debuffs, like bleeding, to the target. This makes it ideal for handling hunters or other debuff-forcused enemies.

Lastly, the Kunai Teleporter. This unique kunai will only teleport you after you throw it, then right click. Because of it's timed teleporting, it makes it the suited tool for any ninja who wants to be patient and wait for the enemy, rather then just charging in.
Approaching the enemy - Mobility
The final way of approaching the enemy is actually the ninja's natural agility, and miscellaneous tools that revolve around movement.

Most katanas come with a dashing ability. While this is more useful for escaping and finishing off an enemy, it's still a valid option for beginning your attack. The dash also penetrates targets, which makes it effective for crouds.

The Grappling Iron is a mobility focused weapon, which shows it's true aggressive potiental when hooked to a higher position then the enemy. It allows you to suddenly drop down to the enemy, get a quick hit with your katana, and ascending out of their reach before they can counter attack. Of course, it can also be used as a means for escape.

And the last and most basic form of approach is your wall jump. You have no limit to how many times you can jump off a wall, so pay attention to the map and try to get to higher points to drop down on your enemies.
Your targets and enemies
As a ninja, some classes will be easier prey then others. Because of this, you'll have to adapt accordingly for the harder ones.

Gluttons will be your worse enemies due to their ability to tank, heal, and the grenade launcher that's bound to hit you if you're in melee range. Weaking them with shurikens or makibishi isn't the best choice, since they can quickly heal themselves. Teleportation is usually the best option when fighting one, making sure they don't have time to aim at you.

Soldiers are almost as difficult to handle due to their rocker launchers and sturdy hp, but their lack of self-healing makes pressuring them much more manageable. Reloading is another weak point for soldiers, so if you can dodge the first few attacks, you're able to rush in safely.

Vikings can be an easy or dangerous target, depending on how you approach them. While they're also talented in melee combat as well, you surpass them in ranged combat and mobility. Jumping around while poking at them with your projectiles is a fine way at dealing with one.

Rangers are fairly easy to deal with because of their slow rate of fire and low hp, but landing in one of their traps will quickly change the fight in their favor. Don't be afraid to run if they manage to land an arrow on you, rangers are great at running and gunning.

Other ninjas can be also be risky enemies, due to their equal abilities to chase, dodge, and deal quick bursts of damage. Getting the first hit is very vital in winning a fight with one.

Miners are also fairly easy to deal with, since their pistols are weak, and their shotguns can be slow. The biggest threat to fighting one is if they're behind a turret or using a jetpack to dodge. Making sure they don't have any support from their buildings is an important aspect to fighting one, and distracting one by attacking their buildings can work in your favor.
Final notes
While this has nothing fancy or advance in it, hopefully this helped anyone wanting to understand the gist of being a ninja, or the perspective of one. Feedback is welcomed, of course.

Cucumber, Id like to preface that any class and destroy any class, in reality, Ninja is the most blaintant show of this, ANy class can destroy a ninja with ease, It all comes down the to skill of said ninja, and skill of the enemy. Also, Some weapons (especially alt-weapons) are better at fighting some classes, and ninja isnt special, Crossbows tend to be good in ranger Vs ninja, as they dont require charge which slows you down and are easily spammed, Agressive traps can do fatal 80 damage strikes, 160, If you stack two, Combine that with a well-aimed fishing rod to pull them in, and youve got 200 damage.
I would also like to preference that a good Elf bow ranger is a nightmare to a ninja, as if they land their strike, its 150 damage, 175 (insta kill) If it crits.
Throw a spring trap into the mix, and I would argue ranger has more mobility then ninja.

Course, this is all my opinion so, take it what you will, Regaurdless, Amazing guide!

I think that miners are good against ninjas, because I dominate them when i play miner. But as you said, I use the jetpack so that may be why.
