IMPORTANT INFO
Because I know some of you are just quickly going to search through this guide because they don't want to read all that text, I made a section "In short" at the end of every title.
Building Plot Tips
Slimes and Corrals
  • Amount: The amount of slimes you put in a corral should never be too high. If some of you largos cant even touch the ground anymore, you really have too many in there. I'd say about 6 to 8 largos is enough.

  • Types: Most of you will have questioned this before: "Which slimes do I combine?" It's simple. I usually rank my slimes by how much their plorts usually sell for, so I got these tiers of slimes I work with. Tier 0 slimes are normal pink slimes. They don't have a favourite food, and their plorts really aren't worth that much. These slimes I usually just have for Slime Science. Tier 1 slimes are slimes like phosphor slimes, rock slimes, tabby slimes... They are woth a little more. Tier 2 slimes are honey, booms, rads (and possibly puddle and fire too). Tier 3 slimes are crystal, hunters and quantums and tier 4 are dervish, mosaic and tangle slimes. There is also a tier 5: the gold slime.

  • Mixing: After reading the previous tip, which slimes do you combine with which? You should always mix tier 3 slimes with tier 2 or 1. Tier 3 slimes have a hard to farm favourite food, so are very hard to take care of. If you mix them with tier 2 or 1, their favourite food is a lot easier to farm, resulting in less chaos and more food for your slimes. Tier 4 slimes can mix with anything, their favourite food type isn't that hard to farm. For example: The crystal slime's (tier 3) favourite food is odd onions, that's about 5 of those each harvest, so not that helpful. Dervish slimes (tier 4) on the other hand have a fav. food called the prickle pear, which gives 15 per harvest. At last: Tier 1. The pink slime can be combined with anything. Although I suggest not combining them with Tier 3s. Tier 2s can be combined with anything, from tier 0 to tier 4, even with themselves.

  • Slime Toys: You might have seen a yarn ball in the Moss Blanket, or found a duck in a pond, which if you hovered over it with your mouse, it had the tag "Slime Toy". If you progress in the 7Zee reward club you will get a station where you can buy these toys yourself! They work like this: Slime toys calm down slimes, and there are specific toys of specific slimes, that will calm those slimes more than other toys. 2 toys in one corral wont stack the effect, even for largos having the 2 specific toys that fit with their slimecombo. The description for each toy will hint away which slime it is favoured by. Rubber ducks have a special effect: They make puddle slimes "less shy". This means you can fit an extra puddle slime in a pool without them getting too shy and stop producing plorts. You can have a total of 4 + 1 puddle slimes with the toy in one pond. (Again: the effects dont stack. 2 rubber ducks wont make the total 6)
Farms
  • Farms: Farms should always grow something that give at least 15 fooditems per harvest, otherwise it is too slow or you need multiple farms. 1 farm per corral should be enough, if you do this. You can always add more farms if you have the space, to stack up the amount of food in your autofeeders.

  • Upgrades: What upgrades should you add to your corrals and farms? First of all: the corrals should deffinitly have high walls. High walls are very important, they stop your slimes from stacking onto each other. If you follow tip 1, you should also always have an air net. Without an air net, slimes and plorts can easily escape and form tarrs. Other than these essential upgrades, you should always get the auto feeder, so you have time to explore without having to constantly think about your slimes. Also get the plort collector, it saves you a lot of work. Next is the music box. It'll calm down your slimes, resulting in less explosions, tornados, etc. You should NEVER get the solar shield. Instead, you should open the grotto, and put your phosphor slimes there. It gives extra space and you don't have to waste your money on those upgrades. I'm quite sure you're going to open the Grotto anyway.
Other Plots
  • Ponds: Ponds are used for puddle slimes. Because they hold infinite water, place them near places where you walk a lot on your ranch, so you can fill up on water when you pass by.

  • Incinerator: You use the incinerator to burn stuff you don't need, but it is also used for fire slimes! If you buy the ash through, they can eat the ash. You don't need that upgrade yet until you open the Glass Desert, so save your money!

  • Chicken Coops: Chicken coops should be used for yourself to stock up on chickens for an adventure (for example to The Wilds, with all the sabers). The chickens grow very slow, and I think they're not fast enough to feed slimes and largos on your ranch.

In Short:
  • 6-8 Slimes per corral
  • To easily get food for your slimes you should mix these (Although you should read "Types" first)
    • T0 + Any
    • T1 + Any
    • T2 + Any
    • T3 + T2 or T1
    • T4 + Any
    • T5 Can't mix
  • 1 Farm per corral, farming any food that is not a favourite of a T3 slime.
  • Corral upgrades: High Walls -> Air Net -> Auto Feeder AND/OR Plort collector -> Music Box (No Solar Shield, open the Grotto instead)

Bonus Tip for Quantums and Tangles. You are better off combining them with tier 2s and free ranging them. The best places to do this from my experience are the grotto and the overgrowth. The grotto especially if you want to make phosphor largos.
