Introduction
Read the in-game help first, before consulting this guide.

This is a work in progress...
Please comment if you don't understand something, so I can rewrite or expand to help you.
Please also comment about anything I overlooked, that should be added.
If you have some major additions, I'd be honored to add you as a contributor.
Day 1
Place storage on far side of forest to minimise hunting travel time.
Place campfire nearby with a good walkspace between them.
Allocate one person to build the campfire and then to start the fire.
Meanwhile, send everybody else to gather Wood once.
Use the remaining Energy of all four to Forage.
The scary messages just mean they have no more actions left. :D
Restart if you don't have 4 Berries for breakfast and 10 Wood left for the campfire.
Now click the Sleep button.

Gatherer Society
It's time to Eat -> Forage -> Sleep, until you can build a Tool Station.
Click on Campfire and tick everyone before clicking the feed button.

Save after eating every morning, so you can restore if 4 berries not found.
Forage Berries + Eat = -1 + -1 + 3 = +1 energy, but can only eat once per day.
If not enough energy to eat, it gets deducted from the meal.
Starvation reduces energy recovery when sleep, so optimal to eat daily anyway.

Foraging isn't random anymore, so food not an issue, but this may change.
Food is the least likely resource found from random Foraging.
Early Tools
Build a Tool Bench and click on it.
Research Tools, then Axe, then build a Lumber Camp.
Research just happens over time, regardless of tasks/sleep.
Only one tool / weapon can be crafted at a time (on purpose).
You need Plant fibre to bind the tools together.

At this point, fell 4 trees daily and Mine as required, with women gathering food and stockpiles.
Trees yield 60 wood and Mining yields 100 stone.
The fire will keep burning logs, so best to send all to log simultaneously.
Mining takes a fraction of the time, so it can wait until actually needed.
Hunter Gatherers
Build the Butchery and Hunting Station. Research Stick and Spear.
Focus on Hunting a bit, with women gathering necessities.
Click on Hunting Station to make weapons and assign hunters.
After all Berries are eaten, click campfire again to feed the others meat.
Deer hides are necessary for huts and clothing. Huts increase energy.
Deer hides are the rarist resource atm.

Amass 500 Wood and 500 Stone for the next stage...

Optimal Hunting
Both deer and rabbits can sometimes yield 10 food.
Rabbits: 5 food, ensure 2 sticks per hunter to hunt twice in a day.
Deer 15 food, 1-2 hides, ensure 5 spears per hunter.
Hunt once and go to sleep with 2 energy, next 2 days Hunt -> Eat -> Hunt.
Alternatively:hunters go for deer+rabbit daily, while a crafter makes replacements

Butchering
not implemented yet, currently automatic
Fishing
Fishing suppliments food, when berry bushes go dormant for the winter
Bones are used for hooks

not implemented yet
Wolves
Wolves are a rare random event, that cannot be prevented.
They sneak in at night while everybody is asleep and devour food.
If less than 9 food stored, then they steal it all.
Wolf attacks on people is not implemented yet, but may be tied to lack of food stored.
Children
Huts are required to make babies, which is a random event.
Pregnancy 3 nights -> Infant 5 nights -> Child 5 nights -> Adult
Birthed adults are numbered instead of named at this time.
Babies and children do not require food at this time.
Adult descendants also bear children.
Currently, each female only gives birth once.

At the moment, only 6 members are selectable at a time to feed, regardless.
Can immediately click on the fire again to send more to feed.
Clothing
Deer hides are used for clothing to endure the cold season.

not implemented yet
Migration
As Winter sets in, a need arises to migrate to another map.

not implemented yet
Misc Tips
Left-Click messages on right hand side of screen to dismiss them.

Ensure 10 wood for campfire before sleeping, building, researching, crafting or logging.

Only males can Log, Mine, Hunt, Build and Craft.
Only females can Butcher, Tailor and of course bear children.

Weapons break, so always have spares on hand.
Tools don't break... yet, so make spares of those too.
Build enough huts to house babies on the day they become adults.
Bugs (workarounds & exploits)
Save before clicking Sleep, jic somebody doesn't make it back to the huts ie sticks trying
Save before hunting, jic a hunter sticks at station or when they stop to scout

Resources are randomly generated again, when exit to desktop, then relaunch and load a save.
A simple solution for when they become too sparse or distant.

If a character sticks/dances in one spot, rotate camera to free them up.
The magic angle is usually facing straight on or facing up from the grass.
Exception: if a hunter looks around, then sticks instead of going hunting,
then must save and reload to free them up, but you lose the 3 energy and 1 spear.

Switch to 1x speed before clicking Sleep or some may not return in time to bed down.
Especially if you have to wiggle camera view to unstick a dancer at a hut.

Most other glitches can be fixed by saving and reloading the game.
For instance, if an animation freezes on one frame ie sitting or laying.
However, at 4x speed, animations freeze when FPS drops below 5.
So no need to save/reload if they free up again at 1x.

Grass removal is a temporary workaround the devs added.
Do not click to remove grass in settings more than 4 times or game will crash.
This is not just aesthetic, there's a bug in the Unreal 4 engine atm.
UR4 is adding grass back again after constructions, which can cause a crash.

Settings are not retained when you exit the game to desktop. This includes grass removal.

This 'guide' looks more like an instruction manual of follow this routine exactly not an availability of someone to survive and thrive. It is as if there are 'quests' for every aspect hidden in the game and you have to ' discover ' the path the makers want you to take. This is not to my liking. I would ask for a refund but I doubt it would be forthcoming. I will be deleting this waste of time and no longer give this developer a moments notice in the future.

Also so far its been my experiance that they wolves will not eat all of your food if you have plenty to share.

Also you might want to add that now that there are wolves in the game you might want to make sure you have plenty of food in your storage . They come while you are sleeping and eat your food while you are sleeping and NOT a darn thing you can do about it I migh add !
