you need to change her hull material in Build mode.

Please enter BUILDING MODE,
1.load to ship,Click "Modify Entre Ship..."
2.Set material to Iron and Apply.Iron Hull ship save.

Yes, it is not necessary for a fighter made with a factory
Even if you attach an engine, thruster or shield generator, there is no effect on the fighter made with the factory
