Below is what changes have been done to the map:
  • Optimized map: fewer things rendered at all times.
  • Smoother movement: less likely to get stuck on random things.
  • Aligned light props and light sources.
  • Added small details to the lighting.
  • Music has been added inside. To stop, type "stop_sound" in console.
  • Walls and details now aligned with the grid.

Everything has been packed into the BSP and content addon, the only requirement is CSS!

@innovators if you run a potato then thats probably why. this map has a lot of moving entities and parts not to mention scripts, that can at times overload a PC during loading a session.

I ported this map to SFM a few days ago. The reason for the missing textures is because the models are using a valve material file (vmt) that is linked... to the same file. The VMT is supposed to link to a VTF (valve TEXTURE file)....

@TRON I can also get away with turning the entire map into one func_detail and using
-notjunc for "additional game params"
or
"-notjunc -game $gamedir $path\$file" for expert $bsp_exe

@TRON You need to port the maps in pieces, or if you get lucky and it works, just render with no HDR, fast VIS and fast VRAD. It renders much faster and still has HDR. Looks just like an "expert" compile with less shadow.
