"Five" Nazi Zombies Guide
By toxi
The Pentagon is breached with zombies. What do you do? There are multiple ways to strategize this map considering that it is way harder than Kino. Some are camping, and some are running around the map with zombie trains. I've seen both strategies work, it really just depends on who you're playing with and how competent they are. There's less open areas and the place is cramped so running around can be seen as a bold strategy. These are just some key pointers on how to survive the map.

Map Navigation.
Five has THREE main floors, plus an extra room where the Pack-A-Punch Machine is located.

"B-but Tox, why don't I just google the map instead?"

Here's why. For the most part, the map is accurate but there are some that are inaccurate. For example, in the first room, the map says that there are only 9 windows that zombies can come through but in reality, there's 10.

TOP FLOOR
Also known as the Office Room, this room is mostly for farming points in the early rounds. The perks in here are the Quick Revive and Speed Cola is located.

My personal weapon of choice in this room is the MPL, it's like what the MP40 is to Kino but only for this room. There are exactly 10 windows in this room, so every chance you can get, barricade them for points.

The security doors can be activated as an electric trap but an Operational Component is required and the power must be on.

WAR ROOM
Possibly the most cramped up room in the map, this is the room where you do NOT want to get cornered. Perks in here are the Jugger-nog, Mule Kick, and the Double Tap. My weapon of choice here is the MP5K, since I treat it like an MP40 but again, only for this room.

There are TWO elevators in this room, one back up to the office room and one to go downstairs. It also has a catwalk with four windows, perfect to camp for if you have four players and if you have three players, good for the guy who gets two windows. There is exactly 11 windows in the room that the zombies can come from, including the window behind the big elevator.

There's also the DEFCON switches but I'll explain that later.

BOTTOM FLOOR
Also known as the Lab, there are exactly 8 windows in the room, 9 with the one at the back of the elevator. Weapon of choice for me here is the AK74u but again, only for this room. (Keep in mind that the weapons here are my personal choice, you can have a shotgun if you wanted to, really depends on what you're comfortable with.) The power is also located in this floor, turn it on.

The Operational Component is also in this floor and is located in a room to your left as soon as the big elevator doors open. Buy the door, then the component should be on a cabinet by the Bowie Knife on the wall.
Some Rules To Consider.
RULE 1: Manage your points in the early rounds. Don't just fire your gun at them, knife them. Takes about 5-6 shots that's not on the head in round 1, then knife. Round 2, about 10 shots and Round 3 is about 15.

RULE 2: Powerups are a gift from the gods so use them wisely. I'm sure most of you know this but Instakill plus Double Points is basically god telling you to knife the zombies.

RULE 3: Perks are a MUST. I can't say this enough. You think you can survive this without a Jugger-nog? You got another thing coming. Unless you're posting a YouTube video or something, this is the first thing you should get. Takes about FIVE hits from zombies to kill you with this, only two hits if you don't have it. I never get Double Tap but again, that's up to you if you want it.

RULE 4: Making crawlers is a good tactic but knowing WHEN to make one is also beneficial. No need to do it every round unless one of your teammates has a bladder issue or is really hungry that he/she is about to die. When you make a crawler, try your best to get every barricade for points and if you lost a perk, need ammo from the wall, or want to Pack-A-Punch, this is the time to do it. Oh and don't be a jerk to someone that wants to make a crawler because he/she has to pee. Don't be so ignorant, it's a team game after all.

RULE 5: Simple, aim for the head in the later rounds. Should be self-explanatory. You'll conserve more ammo. You're gonna need it.

RULE 6: Don't be salty if you were not revived, chances are they tried to work around the zombie to try and get you but it was too late.

RULE 7: Stay tf still if you're down and type where you went down. This isn't Kino where we can just run around and we'll find you eventually. Remember, there are 3 floors to this map.

RULE 8: The teleporters are RANDOMIZED and there's really no way of telling where you're going to end up when you use it. Not exactly a rule but just something to remember.

RULE 9: Lastly, work as a team and help each other out but don't revive if you absolutely cannot get them. No need to end the game when you could've just ended the round.
DEFCON Switches
WHAT IS IT?

The DEFCON switches are all located in the War Room and after hitting all four switches, the Pentagon will go in DEFCON 5 and all teleporters will directly teleport you to the "Panic Room" where the Pack-A-Punch Machine is located.

"B-but Tox, I can stay in the Panic Room since zombies can't get me here right?"

Ha. Don't even think for a second that you're safe in this room and that zombies can't get you.

BE AWARE

There are exactly TWO windows on each side as soon as you teleport in the panic room that zombies can get through and if everyone takes their eyes off it, then a zombie horde can quickly mow you down; especially in higher rounds.

A good rule of thumb is to flip the DEFCON switch everytime you pass it and the next person who wants to Pack-A-Punch can go. In higher rounds, it is not recommended to Pack-A-Punch with more than two players. Seriously, it's a crap fest if everyone wants to pack and no one is watching those windows as the Panic Room is still a crammed room.

Think of it this way, there ISN'T a room in Five that is NOT crammed. The War Room is the closest thing that you call "open space."

To open the room again, the DEFCON must be lowered to five again and the room will remain open as long as someone is in the room but when the doors open, the Pack-a-Punch Machine disappears. I don't recommend someone waiting in the room tbh, since as soon as the doors open, zombies can swarm you.

Another way to open the panic room is to obtain the Bonefire Sale though this can only be obtained if you kill the Pentagon Thief before he takes away a player's gun. The sale will let you Pack-A-Punch for only 1000 instead of the original 5000 and links all teleports to the panic room even if the DEFCON level is not lowered.
The Pentagon Thief
You thought Hellhounds were bad? Say hello to the Pentagon Thief.

WHO IS HE?

Some kleptomaniac who steals the weapon you are holding if he catches you. A good strategy for this is to equip the gun you do not like and let him take it if he is absolutely going to catch you.

This can be a nerve-racking strategy in the later rounds though as you have better guns and he can steal it away from you.

WHAT HE DOES

He will appear some time after round six, if the power has been turned on. After his first appearance, he will appear around about every 4 rounds, give or take.

Only the player that is being chased can actually see his figure. If he is not running, other players not being chased will only see red mist that is following the player being chased.

No other zombies will be in the map when the Thief is present, so you can go ham on him without worrying about the undead.

If he does steal a gun, he will continue to steal from other players before teleporting all around the map until he teleports in the room where the power switch is, then disappears. A max ammo will drop but he keeps the guns he stole.

Monkey Bombs will Not attract him. So don't do it or you just wasted a monkey.

He CAN'T down you, the only thing he does is steal the weapon you have EQUIPPED. Don't think that he only steals one weapon, he CAN steal both of them and leaving you empty-handed with nothing more than your knife and grenades.

HOW DO I BEAT HIM?

The easiest way to beat him is for the players who are not being targeted shoot every weapon in their arsenal to him. That being said, there are certain guns and strategies I find effective that you can do to take to effectively take him out.

One: The Spawn Room: All four players go to the spawn room and the one being chased runs around the big table while the others just shoot at him. Although this may result in the Thief catching the player being chased, it's better to kill him than to let him go.

Two: The Catwalk: One player distracts him by being chased and go around the War Room. Meanwhile, the others continues to shoot at the Thief from the catwalk with everything they have. A good rule is to shoot just behind the player being chased.

Three: Elevator Trick: This is possibly the best way to kill him in my opinion. The strategy is for all players to camp the first elevator and wait for the Thief to come at you, then you just shoot at him. Depending on where you hit and what guns you own, he may still be able to steal someone's weapon. If this happens, just stay in the elevator and wait for him again until he shows up then unload.

EFFECTIVE WEAPONS

1. Ray Gun (very effective against him)
2. Claymores (just plant them wherever so if it goes off, you know where he's coming from)
3. Mustang And Sally (self-explanatory. just a powerful gun all around)
4. Winter's Howl (slows him down, makes him easier to outrun)

WHAT HE DROPS

Killing him before a weapon is stolen: Max Ammo and Bonefire Sale.

Killing him after he stole a weapon Max Ammo, all weapons he took from all players, and Fire Sale.

Ignoring him or letting him escape Max Ammo.
Five Tips For Each Floor
TOP FLOOR

Tip #1: Some will say to buy the M14 instead of the MPL. It's honestly up to you but my suggestion is the MPL since it's a powerful gun and I keep it with me even if I get to the War Room.

Tip #2: Either let the zombies break the glass and breach in, or use your knife to break the glass then barricade the door. I mostly break the glass by myself, barricade, then let the zombies come.

Tip #3: DO NOT, and I could not emphasize this more...break the glass with your pistol. Come on man, use your head. You have a knife for a reason, use it. I just cannot begin to explain how many people I've played with that shoots the glass instead of knifing, it's a waste of ammo.

Tip #4: First door cost 750 points, the barricade to the elevator is 1000, and the elevator itself is 250. The M14 is 500 and the MPL is 1000. That's 2500 with M14 or 3000 with the MPL. Don't get greedy and open a door here and then, you need your teammates to survive.

Tip #5: I highly recommend to try and stay here until each of you get to about 7-8k in order to get Jugger-nog, Speed Cola, and Quick Revive.

WAR ROOM

Tip #1: Do NOT open the barricade right away. Try to stack up on points by the catwalk since you're only guarding four windows.

Tip #2: Buy either a MP5K or a PM63. Either one is ok since it's the only automatic gun in the room. Again, this is up to you but I do not recommend the Stakeout that is also in the room.

Tip #3: After the first barricade leading to the war room, remove the other debris. The first debris is 1250 and there is another debris that is also 1250. One of them only cost 1000. The guy with the most points should buy the first one or take turns clearing them.

Tip #4: Every chance you get, turn ON the DEFCON switches. Even if you don't have enough for Pack-A-Punch, it'll give everyone a break for a bit in time to reload or in worst case scenario, need to be revived.

Tip #5: When you first camp the catwalk for points, do NOT steal someone else's window and just guard your own. I know you want points but people are usually killed on the catwalk because someone will choose to not guard a window and a zombie breaches. Unless you need ammo, don't leave your window.

BOTTOM FLOOR

Tip #1: Buy Claymores. Since Five has no Hellhounds, Claymores are an amazing tool to buy to get some points and not get flanked. Just place them in front of a window or literally anywhere and you're good.

Tip #2: Kill the pig. Do it.

Tip #3: Zombie trains IS possible in this room. It's just really hard since zombies can come from everywhere in this room. If you see someone running a zombie train in this room, do not use the teleporter and use the elevator instead since if you teleport, you might end up in front of someone's train; thus screwing it up for them.

Tip #4: This tip goes for the war room too since the big elevator is connected with the room. Try to call the elevator every chance you get but be careful, since it's basically a dead-end if you're being chased by a horde of zombies. Instead, try to call it, immediately run away from that spot, then come back for it. (kinda like the box)

Tip #5: Do NOT stay here if the Thief is coming. I have make this mistake many, many times and it never goes well. Instead, try your best to go either to the War Room or the Spawn Room.
Wonder Weapons
"Every map needs a wonder weapon."
~Mahatma Gandhi

Wonder weapons are weapons that can get you out of a deadly spot, control massive hordes of zombies, and clear the way to help your teammate.

Sorry Thunder Gun lovers but the Thunder Gun is NOT avaliable in Five. Instead, these are what you can get.

1. WINTER'S HOWL

You thought a wonder weapon is always OP? Nope. Let's me show you what this thing can do. It fires a blizzard that slows zombies down on its first shot, the second shot is much more effective as it can encase them into a block of ice which will then shatter, killing them.

Pack-A-Punch this thing and you get the Winter's Fury. Longer freeze time, more power, and longer range. It is nowhere near as powerful as the Thunder Gun but I treat it like a Thunder Gun. So sprint with it, use it to get to your teammates, and if you're about to be cornered...throw a Monkey.

2. MONKEY BOMBS

It's a weapon to me ok, there's a bomb strapped to its back and bombs are weapons. Pretty self-explanatory, you throw it and zombies avoid you like the plague. Then boom, it explodes and zombies are on your tail again.

3. CROSSBOW

To me, it's really useless on its own unless it's Pack-A-Punched. Then it's useful. Pack-A-Punched Crossbow is like a monkey bomb with a trigger. Use this just as you would with a Monkey Bomb and try to run with it as much as you can, you don't want to get cornered and having to switch to the crossbow only to go down.

4. MUSTANG AND SALLY

Things are better when there's two of them. And Mustang and Sally is a must grab in Five. Crowded places makes this thing look like a traffic control officer as this is used to clear crowds. Short version to describe the gun: it fires powerful grenades.

5. RAY GUN

Another must have in any map really, unless you have a better wonder weapon like Mustang and Sally although a Ray Gun wouldn't hurt to combine it with. It's pretty powerful, that's all you need to know and when it's Pack-A-Punched; it's a better gun all around.

6. DEATH MACHINE

It's actually a powerup and it can only last for 30 seconds with unlimited ammo. It's probably the most powerful thing you can kill zombies with in the map.
Five(get it?) Things Not To Do
I've probably repeated some of these things throughout the guide but I needed to make some points very clear.

#1: No need to always sprint. Since each room is every claustrophobic's nightmare, a zombie might turn around and ambush you. Walk in laps if you're running a train and only sprint if they get too close to attack.

#2: If someone throws a monkey in order to revive a teammate, follow your teammate. Don't be that guy that spams Mustang and Sally to the grouped up zombies.

#3: Do NOT jump into a teleporter with another player at the same time. Both of you will go down, lose your perks, and leave the rest of your team endangered.

#4: Unlike Kino, Fire Sales are bait that will cost you to mess up your defence if you choose to run after one. Unless you are like 2 ft from a box during Fire Sale, don't bother going for it; it's not worth it.

#5: Don't stand still and keep running. Five is notorious cornering players easily and even with Jugger-nog, it's very easy to take multiple hits from zombies from any direction.
Conclusion.
Feel free to comment some things that have help you survive this horrible yet fun map. Although I still like Kino better, this map is my second favourite mainly because of how challenging it can be, especially to the ones who play on Kino a lot and want something completely different.

TILL THEN, HAVE FUN BEING CHASED BY ZOMBIES!!!

I think if you were playing by yourself, the thief can just steal all of your weapons since there no one else to steal from after you. If not then I still stand by what I said when he can steal both weapons and leave you empty-handed with only a knife and nades.

That's been a grey area actually, there's really no way to answer it but from what I know is that only one person can have it. However, idk if its because of a glitch or not but some people online have claimed to have 3 winter's howl a game
