Guide for girls in Dota 2

Forget your name, place of birth, even the fact that you are a girl because once you enter this game, you will be called "grill" 100%.
Never speak on your microphone because you will be sexually harassed.
One of the most common questions are: Are you a very young boy or a girl? Whatever you say will result in you being harassed so you should just ignore it.
Every game you enter, you will have some smart person who will tell you how you should play and that person will most definitely blame you if you lose the game. ''Girls shouldn't play games, go and cook some lunch.''
You will get few nick names during your time. If the people (men) are good they will just ask you what is your name? Where are you from? Your social number and those common questions that you usually get asked in some bar but for this experience you don't need to leave your house and you will have plenty fish in the sea.
The other part are those rude boys that never had sex in their life and because of that, they will call you a s!ut for no reason. Probably because deep down they know that they will never be with you.
When they try to be funny but they sound like teenage perverts, they will say something like send me your nudes. You should mute this person instantly because that person is most likely 10 years old who just discovered movies for adults...
There is one type of a gang that you will meet on your way and those are friends who are always playing dota together. There will always be that one guy who will be nice to you and ofc his friends - jerks. They will laugh in their language on their microphones making jokes about the poor guy that just wanted to be nice to you.
If you meet your own species, by that I mean other girls, most of them will be relatively nice to you. You will also notice that they are either really good, or really bad in dota. There is not middle section with girls playing dota.
There are two solutions in solving these problems. First is that whenever you enter your game, you just go and mute everyone and the 2nd one is playing with the people you know. You need to have at least one friend by your side to help you deal with these kind of problems or at the end you will be literally grilled...it is up to you! Edit: There are also normal boys in this game. You will notice them because they will mind their own business. Those people(men) are the reason why I still play this game. That is how I met my best friend. So not everything is black it is just few people that will make your life miserable ;) Anyway good luck and enjoy the game!

This is amazing, honestly. The reason why girls are "harassed" in DotA 2 is because it's mostly a community made up of boys, I mean I wouldn't know how many women are playing this game but surely there are more boys than girls.

That shouldn't stop you from enjoying or playing the game, so good luck!

And with this, i have to admit i found one boy, that he travel two countries for me and now we are 3 years togheter happly in a relationship, by playing dota2.
