Achievement Guide & Roadmap
By Stronghammer22
This is a guide for each of the 38 achievements included in F1 2011. It also includes a roadmap which gives an indication of the difficulty and length of time it will take to unlock all of the achievements.

Note: This guide was created with the intention of showing the quickest and easiest way to unlock the achievements so some of the guides are not entirely in the spirit of the achievements. Exploits for example are outlined on various occasions. If you take offense to this, please ignore it and do it the "proper" way.

Introduction

Welcome to F1 2011. This iteration of the premier motorsport sees a drastic improvement in handling. You're no longer going to spin when just looking at a kerb, you can now attack them. Along with improved handling, Codemasters have implemented all of the real world rule changes. KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System), DRS (Drag Reduction System) and the new Pirelli tyres are in. Their inclusion makes for some very exciting racing. The safety car also makes an appearance, fans have been begging for it since last years game was released, so it's excellent to see Codemasters taking that on board.

Step One: Co-op Championship

First thing, you'll want to find a partner for the Co-op Championship. Look here: Co- Partners. Next, start your Co-op Championship on easy (brake assist off) and set the distance to 3 laps. You're going to win every race, while your partner finishes second. On easy, the AI is about 10 seconds slower than average, so it shouldn't be too taxing.

Step Two: Single Player Career

Start up Career mode in single player, choose one of the better teams available, such as Williams or Force India and change the settings to easy (brake assist off). The distance should be set to 3 laps (Long Race Weekend). At each track, do at least 10 laps in practice to unlock the "Test Driver" achievement. Win every race and hopefully you'll receive a contract offer from Ferrari, Mclaren or Red Bull. If you receive an offer from any of these teams, take it. Next season, switch the difficulty from easy to hard. You need to win the Championship on hard, then you are done with Career mode.

Step Three: Multiplayer

This year is light on multiplayer achievements thankfully. Either race legitimately and try to win 35 races, or find a boosting partner here: Boosting Partners and boost in private races. The best track to choose is Monaco. Simply crash at the first corner, whoever is further along the track when they crash will be awarded a win. Also, try to avoid touching anything in one online race to be awarded the "Keeping it Clean" achievement.

Step Four: Miscellaneous

There are quite a few miscellaneous achievements, such as winning with manual gears or without any assists. Refer to the achievement guide if you're having trouble with any of these.

Conclusion

Whilst F1 2011 may not look too different on the surface, if you dig a little deeper you'll find an addictive experience, one that mirrors the real Formula One near perfectly. The achievements are a lot easier this year, the massive multiplayer grind is gone and the expert achievement has been toned down to hard. Everyone should be able to complete the game and have an amazing time doing it.
Achievement Guide
Season Opener 10
Complete your first Career Race

Upon starting the game, select Career from the menu. Choose your team and advance to the first race (Australia). You literally need to finish the race, if you crash it will not unlock.

Pole Position 20
Take the first Pole Position of your Career

Within Career mode you must qualify with the fastest time to unlock this achievement. The simplest way to achieve this would be to change the settings to easy (though turn off brake assist) and choose a short race weekend. If you choose a short race weekend, there is only one qualifying session, as opposed to 3 for a long race weekend. Make good use of your KERS and DRS to squeeze out every last second of lap time.

Just the Beginning 30
Take your first Career victory

Rather self explanatory. To make it easier, you can change the settings to easy and decrease the amount of laps to 3. Cross the finish line ahead of all of your opponents (in Career mode) to unlock this achievement.

Lightning Fast 30
Set the fastest penalty-free lap of the Race in any game mode

Start a Grand Prix and change the difficulty to easy. Choose 1 lap race distance and either Red Bull, Ferrari or Mclaren. If you win the race (which should be a foregone conclusion really), you will have the fastest lap. Do not cut corners or run into other cars, as you can receive penalties for these actions, thus voiding the achievement.

Sublime Talent 30
Set the fastest lap in every session of a Long Race Weekend in any mode

Either in Career or Grand Prix mode, choose "Long Race Weekend". Change the difficulty to easy too. There are 3 practice sessions, 3 qualifying sessions and obviously the race. You must set the fastest lap in each of the sessions and the race. You can check your competitors times whilst in your garage. You may also fast forward time (). If you have a time in practice that you don't think will be beaten, you may skip to the next session.

Be on top of the time sheet at the end of each practice/qualifying session and the race to be awarded this achievement.

Push the Button 15
Cleanly overtake an opponent while KERS is activated

KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) is an 80 bhp speed boost that can be used for 6.67 seconds per lap. KERS is signified by a battery icon in the lower right corner. If it is full, it will be red. As you use KERS, the battery will deplete. When you're coming alongside an opponent, press and hold to activate your KERS and cleanly overtake them (do not touch the other car).

Note: Three of the teams do not use KERS. These teams are Lotus, Virgin and HRT.

It must be done in a race, qualifying and practice do not count.

Winging It 15
Cleanly overtake an opponent while the DRS is activated

DRS (Drag Reduction System) refers to the movable rear wing. In qualifying, you may use DRS as often as you like for an increase in straight line speed. In races, you need to be within a one second gap (to the next driver) when crossing designated points on the tracks. The DRS zone is a white line, going horizontally across the track. If you're within the one second gap when you cross the line, you will see the DRS button in the bottom right corner turn green. This means you can use it. Activate it by pressing and cleanly overtake another car. There is an audible click when you activate it and you will see the DRS button flash. If you brake or press again, DRS will deactivate.

Most circuits have one DRS zone, but a couple, such as Montreal and Monza have two. Be careful when using DRS (especially in qualifying) as you will have severely reduced downforce and thus less grip. Straights are fine. Also, DRS is disabled in the first two laps of a Grand Prix, for two laps after a safety car/restart and completely disabled if the race is wet.

An example of a DRS zone is shown below (Australia):

Test Driver 10
Cover a total of 500 Practice miles / 805 kilometres in your Career

In Career mode, select either a short or long race weekend (long will have 3 practice sessions, short will only have 1) and drive around the track in practice. A track such as Monza would be the quickest, as there are very few braking points. If you only did Monza, it would take about 3 hours to cover 805kms. You may want to mix it up though. Use the time in practice to test out your car settings and try to improve upon your laps to keep things interesting.

Alternatively, you can do 10 laps on each track as you make your way through the season. This should see you unlock the achievement without too much monotony.

Co-op Drivers' World Champion 50
Win the Drivers' World Championship in a Co-op season

This can only be done over Xbox Live. To find a co-op partner, look here: Co-op Partners. Select multiplayer from the main menu, then choose Co-op Championship. Invite your partner and proceed to race through a season (19 tracks). You can set it to easy and lower the amount of laps to 3, if you're looking to get it done quickly. Whoever finishes with the most points at the end of the season, wins the Driver's World Championship. Points are awarded to the top ten finishers in each race. The amounts are as follows:

1st - 25
2nd - 18
3rd - 15
4th - 12
5th - 10
6th - 8
7th - 6
8th - 4
9th - 2
10th - 1

Note: If you want to avoid doing two seasons (one for you, one for your partner), both of you need to win 9 races. When the 19th and final race is upon you, have one person quit out during the race while the other goes on to win. They will unlock the achievement. Next, the person who quit invites the person who won and they reverse the roles.

They're on Which Buttons? 20
Win a Race without activating KERS or the DRS once

Change the difficulty to easy and start a 1 lap race. Do not use KERS or DRS at any point. If you win, you unlock the achievement. On easy, winning without KERS and DRS really shouldn't be an issue. If you have any incidents, simply press back to use a flashback.

Do it Yourself 20
Win a Race in any mode using manual gears

Choose Grand Prix from the main menu and change the difficulty to easy. Once you've changed it to easy, switch the gears from automatic to manual and turn off brake assist (within the same screen). By default, A shifts up a gear and X shifts down. Listen to the engine and keep an eye on the rev limiter, they're both good indicators of when to shift gears. Simply finish the race in first position to unlock the achievement.

Note: This can be boosted in online multiplayer or splitscreen mode.

On the Bounce 30
Beat Alberto Ascari's record of 9 successive Career victories

You need to beat Alberto Ascari's record, so it's 10 successive victories. Whilst 10 successive victories may sound daunting, the fact that you can do it on any difficulty means it's actually very easy. In career mode, choose easy and set the distance to 3 laps. Do a lap or two in qualifying so that you're near the front of the pack for the race. Once you are in front, you shouldn't be caught. If you have an accident, use the flashback feature (back) to rewind. As soon as you win your 10th consecutive race, the achievement will unlock.

Drivers' World Champion 50
Win the Drivers' World Championship in Career

You can actually do this in your first year, if you put the difficulty on easy and select one of the better starting teams (such as Williams or Force India). Set the distance to 3 laps and win/finish within the top 3 in the majority of races. This will more than likely see you win the Drivers' World Championship. You can check the standings on your laptop, by selecting "Standings" and "Drivers". You need to be on top at the end of the season (19 races) to be crowned as champion.

Constructors' World Champion 50
Win the Constructors' World Championship in Career

The Constructors' World Championship is based upon your teams total points. For example, if you win the first race and your teammate comes second, your Constructors total would be 43 (25 +18). In order to be awarded the Constructors' title, your team must be on top of the Constructors' table at the end of the season. I suggest setting the difficulty to easy and winning every race. Even if you have a terrible teammate, winning all the races should be enough for you to clinch the title.

If you're having trouble, try accepting a contract offer from Ferrari, Red Bull or Mclaren, as those teams have some of the best drivers.

Precision Driving 30
Complete any Race without colliding with another car or object

Set up a Grand Prix with "Short Race Weekend" selected and 1 lap distance. Skip immediately to the race, this will place you at the back of the grid. Wait 10-20 seconds once the lights go green, then amble your way around the track, making sure not to hit any walls. If you find yourself catching up to the other cars, slow down. You'll be awarded the achievement when the results screen pops up.

Drivers' World Champion (Hard) 100
Win the Drivers' World Championship in Career on Hard or Expert Difficulty

Unless you're a real life F1 driver, I suggest you stick with hard rather than expert. Here is what the hard difficulty entails:

*Pro AI
*Traction Control on Medium
*ABS on
*Full Simulation Settings (Tyre wear, fuel etc)
*No Dynamic Racing Line
*Manual Gearbox
*Full Damage
*Two Flashbacks

The pro AI are no slouches, so you're going to need to be at one of the best teams, such as Red Bull, Ferrari or Mclaren. Therefore, you won't be able to attempt this until at least your second season in Career.

The biggest obstacle for most will be traction control, followed by manual gearing. With traction control on medium, you have a little bit of lee-way with your throttle application, but it is still easy to spin. Basically when taking corners, you want to go around them at a constant speed (relative to the corner). When exiting, if you apply too much throttle your rear tyres will spin, losing traction. This usually ends badly. It takes a lot of practice to get used to driving without full traction control. On full you're basically super glued to the track. Going to medium, it's akin to driving on an ice rink.

Sudden throttle application leads to wheel spin, which leads to loss of traction. Keep this in mind when racing.

Again, when it comes to manual gears, it is all about practice. Some corners you'll be going down to 1st gear or 2nd gear, you need to test it yourself, so take advantage of the practice sessions. Shifting up is quite simple, listen to the engine and watch the rev limiter, when it's in the red or the engine starts "screaming" at you, it's time to shift.

In the races, be smart. Do not use all of your KERS on the very first straight, you may need to defend against AI later in the lap and KERS is a very effective means of defence. Stay out of trouble, be consistent and hopefully you'll come away with some solid points. You do not need to win every race!

If you want to be a little bit sneaky, it is possible to cause other cars to retire, by making them run into the back of you. For some reason, the back of your car is extremely strong. If you find yourself in front of someone, brake a little harder than usual. If they run up the back of you, they will likely retire. This is an easy way of knocking your rivals out, if they're getting too close to you in the Championship. It's not really in the spirit of the sport, but in terms of getting the achievement the easiest way possible, it is fair game.

Finish on top of the Drivers World Championship table with the difficulty set to hard to unlock this achievement.

Note - EASIER METHOD:

When you are starting your career, set the difficulty to hard before each race. Once you're on the grid, enter the pause menu and change the assists to whatever you are comfortable with. For example, you can change manual transmission to automatic, traction control to full etc. You will still be racing professional AI and there will be tyre wear + fuel to take into account. When you are about to cross the finish line, enter the pause menu and reset the assists back to what they were on hard. This tricks the game into thinking you have been playing on hard the whole time.

You can leave auto save on (ignore the fact that it autosaves when you change assists, it doesn't matter). However you may prefer to turn it off and save manually, as it is sometimes easy to forget to change the settings back to hard.

Make sure you don't save any setups while you have the settings changed. You can restart a race with the assists changed, just make sure you change them back to hard before ending the session.

Blue Flag 20
Lap at least 6 other cars during a Race in any game mode

Start a Grand Prix of 20% distance, any track. Choose either Red Bull, Mclaren or Ferrari and change the difficulty to easy. To lap a car, you must overtake them when they are on a different lap (less than the one you are on). With the AI being around 10 seconds slower on average (on easy) you should start lapping them after 7-8 laps. Simply lap 6 cars before the race finishes to be awarded the achievement.

If you have a lot of spare time and wish to make it easier on yourself, set the distance to 50% instead of 20%.

Have You Considered DiRT3? 15
Drift your F1 car 10 metres or more

This will more than likely be your first achievement. If you turn down traction control to either medium or off, any sudden application of the throttle when turning will see you drifting/spinning all over the place. Therefore, change the traction control setting, turn your car whilst applying full throttle and you will make good progress towards the 10 metres. It is cumulative, but will only take a few corners.

Car Control 20
Win a Race without any Driver Assists enabled in any game mode

There are 2 potentially easy ways of doing this.

1. Set up an online Custom Grand Prix session, set the race distance to one lap and assist restrictions to the following:

Braking Assist - BANNED
ABS - BANNED
Traction Control - BANNED
Dynamic Racing Line - BANNED
Gearbox - RESTRICT TO MANUAL
Pit Assist - BANNED

Invite at least one friend in order to be able to start. Simply win the race to unlock the Achievement.

2. If you have two controllers, set up a split screen race and make sure to set race distance to one lap, AI drivers to off and enter the difficulty settings by selecting "Difficulty Level". Make sure driving assists are set to the following:

Braking Assist - OFF
ABS - OFF
Traction Control - OFF
Dynamic Racing Line - OFF
Gearbox - Manual Sequential
Pit Assist - Off

Start and win the race to unlock the Achievement.

Be very aware of ONLY going full-throttle when you have finished steering out of a corner and your car is in a straight line again, otherwise you will lose traction and spin out

Impeccable Performance 20
Win a Race after Qualifying in Pole Position in any game mode

Start a Grand Prix and set the event to a short race weekend and the race distance to 1 lap, as well as A.I. difficulty to Amateur. Just to be sure, set rules and flags to reduced as well as setting the weather to "clear".Use driver assists in any way you wish.

Since you have set the Grand Prix to a short race weekend you will only have to drive in one qualifying session - with the A.I. set to Amateur, you shouldn't have any problems posting the fastest lap and getting pole position.

Finally, win the race to unlock the Achievement.

Keep Your Friends Close 20
Complete a full Co-op season

In order to unlock this Achievement you need to start an online Co-op season with a friend of yours and complete one full season (19 races).

The easiest way to attain this Achievement is for both of you to crash out every race until you have finished the season.

If you want to do it the way it was meant to be played, grab a buddy and race him as hard as you can for a whole season.

Completionist 15
Set a time in all of the Time Attack scenarios

Time Attack is a new mode in F1 2011 that gives you certain scenarios in which you have to set lap times. Basically, it is an improved time trial mode. There are Bronze, Silver and Gold lap times that can be beaten. Fortunately, unlocking this Achievement does not require you to beat the Bronze, Silver and Gold lap times, you simply have to post any lap time.

There are six time attack scenarios in which you will have to set a time in order to unlock this Achievement:

1. Montréal
Weather - Light Rain
Tyre - Intermediate
Car - McLaren Mercedes MP4-26

2. Monza
Weather - Clear
Tyre - Prime
Car - Ferrari 150° Italia

3. Spa
Weather - Heavy Rain

Tyre - Wet
Car - Williams FW 33

4. Melbourne
Weather - Clear
Tyre - Prime
Car - Virgin MVR-02

5. Nürburgring
Weather - Clear

Tyre - Option
Car - Mercedes MGP W02

6. Monte Carlo

Weather - Light Rain
Tyre - Intermediate
Car - Lotus Renault R3

Opportunist 15
Perform a Pit-stop during a Safety Car period

Since Monaco is obviously the best circuit to trigger the Safety Car, set up a Grand Prix there and make sure you have selected 20% or more in race distance, since the Safety Car can only be triggered in 20%+ races.

Set Safety Car to ON and start the race.

I found that triggering the Safety Car works best at the hairpin (turn 6). Simply stay back a little and when the time is right, accelerate through the middle of the pack and put your car into the hairpin crossways - since no car will be able to pass you a massive line will form, therefore triggering the Safety Car.

When you trigger it a yellow box saying "Safety Car deployed" will show up in the top middle of your screen. As soon as this happens all you have to do is perform a pit-stop and the Achievement will pop.

Robot-Like Consistency 30
Complete 5 successive laps within a quarter of a second of each other

If playing legitimately, this is by far the hardest Achievement in F1 2011. You will have to work on your consistency as a driver to post 5 laps successively that are within 0.25 seconds of each other. For the average driver, this will require a lot of practice and patience as even the slightest mistake will void your run and 0.25 seconds doesn't allow any room for screw-ups.

Here are some tips to help you practice for consistent lap times:

- Use the Red Bull. It is the smoothest car to drive and has the best traction.
- Know your braking points and stick to them. Try to find markers around the track that make it easier to set up a braking point you can remember.
- Stick with your shifting-rhythm, meaning: try to downshift on each corner like you did in the previous lap.
- Use KERS and DRS on the same parts of the track on each lap.
- Don't force it. If you're not having any luck, stop your session and unwind a little - trying to force it usually makes your lap times worse.

Luckily, you are allowed any and all driver assists.

Alternate method (easier): See this post here.

Keeping it Clean 25
Finish an Online Race without making contact with an opponent's car

This Achievement can be a bit of a pain if you are trying to get it in a quick game mode like Sprint, where you will find a maniac trying to take out any car he sees almost every race.

Your best bet is to set up an online Custom Grand Prix on any track, setting it up for a one-lap race in race settings as well as setting the privacy to "Invite Only" in session settings. Then, invite at least one friend into your session - otherwise you cannot start the race - and simply make sure you do not touch each other.

Down to the Wire 30
Take the lead on the final lap of a 20%+ distance Race and win

There are two potential ways of doing this - either boosting the Achievement with at least one friend in an online Custom Grand Prix mode or you trying to get it in Grand Prix or Career mode with a 24-car grid of AI cars.

The easiest way of course would be to set up a Custom Grand Prix of 20% or more race distance, invite at least one friend, let him lead the race until the last lap and then overtake him to win the race.

If you are willing to do it in Grand Prix or Career mode, make sure to set the A.I. difficulty to Amateur and stay behind the leading car for the duration of the Grand Prix. As soon as you start your last lap, go for the overtake - with the A.I. difficulty level set to Amateur, you should not have problems overtaking the leader.

On the Podium 35
In any Career Race, finish in the top three

Unless you are in a top car like Red Bull, McLaren or Ferrari (which you cannot start your career with), this Achievement will be fairly hard to attain without "cheating" this year. Even with the A.I. set to Professional difficulty - one below the highest difficulty "Legend" - and pushing it to the limit you will not end up in the top three with a mediocre car.

If you want to get this Achievement as fast as possible without the career experience of starting out in a mediocre car and working your way up to a top tier car, simply dial down the difficulty and settings by selecting the track you are currently at in career mode via the paddock - you will then be automatically taken to the race options screen.

Select "Difficulty Level" and make sure to scroll down and change A.I. difficulty to Amateur. This should enable you to finish in the top three with any car.You are allowed to use driver assists and simulation options (tyre wear, rules and flags, fuel sim).

Slingshot 15
Spend a total of 10 minutes slipstreaming your opponents in any game mode

Slipstreaming happens when you closely follow the car in front of you (best done on straights). That way, you exploit the slipstream created by the car in front of you, as your car has much less drag and increased speed, enabling you to easier overtake your opponent.Imagine your car getting sucked closer to the rear of the car in front of you.

Slipstreaming for a total of 10 minutes will take a while, even if you try boosting it.

There are two ways of getting this Achievement:

1.
The average duration of slipstreaming to overtake a car is about 3-5 seconds - this multiplied by 23 (for the maximum of cars you can overtake without falling back and doing it again) comes to 92 seconds.

Building on this, you will have 1:30 minutes worth of slipstreaming for overtaking the whole field in a Grand Prix. Of course, this only applies if you count an average of 4 seconds for each time you slipstream. Realistically, I would say you'll get 50 seconds to one minute worth of slipstreaming for overtaking 23 cars.

Your best bet is to set up a series of 3-lap races (maybe even 10% races), set the A.I. difficulty to Amateur and make sure to fall back at the beginning of the Grand Prix in order to overtake all cars on the track as fast as possible by using slipstreaming before overtaking.

Also make sure to use a fast car - Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari - that has KERS at its disposal.

2.
Another - maybe easier - way of getting this Achievement is to simply stick behind the rear of the car in front of your for the duration of the race. Simply do not overtake the car in front of you, just keep slipstreaming up and falling behind again.

Is Jenson going to pass or not? 15
Win the Turkish Grand Prix driving as Lewis Hamilton

Note: The title of this Achievement is a homage to the 2011 Turkish Grand Prix, where Lewis Hamilton passed Jenson Button time after time only to be re-passed shortly after - until finally overtaking him for good and securing 4th place.

This should not pose too much of a problem. Simply set up a Grand Prix at Turkey and make sure you are driving as Lewis Hamilton.

If you are confident enough you can set the race mode to race only and the distance to one lap.The grid order is randomized, although Hamilton will not start any lower than 6th, so overtaking all the cars in one lap should not be a problem. If you are having problems, either set the A.I. difficulty to Amateur or increase the race distance.

Glancing Blow 10
With Damage on Full make contact with the wall at Monaco and win the Race

Set up a Grand Prix at Monaco and use any settings you are comfortable with. I would advise you to set rules and flags to reduced, though, as it could help you keeping ahead of the competition by cutting some corners and only getting warnings for it.You will not have to crash out in order to unlock this Achievement. Just touch the wall and drive along it slowly (make sure you slow down before you do, otherwise you WILL crash out) and go on to win the race.

Senna-esque 20
Take the lead on lap 1, in heavy rain, after starting in 5th or lower

Note: The title of this Achievement is a homage to Ayrton Senna's first lap at the 1993 European Grand Prix at Donington, considered by many to be the greatest single lap in F1 history as Senna, starting from 4th place and falling back to 5th behind Schumacher right after the start, managed to overtake 4 cars for the lead in heavy rain within 1 minute.

Set up a Grand Prix at Monza and set the race distance to one lap, with the weather set to heavy rain. Also, make sure to set rules and flags to reduced and select race only in the race distance settings.Select a Ferrari driver, as your chances to start in 5th or lower are considerably higher than with a Red Bull or McLaren driver - in any case, your place on the grid is randomized, so there is a chance that you have to set up the Grand Prix again in order to start from 5th or lower.

As soon as the race starts, use up all of your KERS, making sure to overtake all of the cars before the race leader turns into the first corner and drive straight through the chicane. You will get disqualified for cutting the chicane, but if you do it right you will get the Achievement, since the DSQ triggers after you have passed the race leader for first place.

If the Achievement does not pop shortly after you get disqualified, simply retry.

It's the Driver not the Car 25
Win the Drivers' World Championship with two different teams in Career or Co-op

You will be required to either win two Drivers' World Championships in career mode or online Co-op mode, each with a different team.Online Co-op is by far the easier choice, as you will have a friend to back you up and help you out by crashing off the competition.Once you are done with your first season and you win the WDC, start another one and select a different team.

If you consider doing this in career mode, be advised that unless you are a skilled/seasoned driver you will need to wait to get promoted to a better team than the one you are starting out with. After winning your first WDC, you will need to switch teams to win it a second time.

Don't worry though, after winning the WDC you will have enough offers on your table. In any case, make sure to set the A.I. difficulty to Amateur to help you get this Achievement faster

Teamwork 30
Win the Constructors' World Championship in a Co-op Championship

To win the Constructor's World Championship both you and your teammate will need to deliver good results, hence points, over the course of the season. The Constructor's points are calculated by simply adding both drivers’ points together, therefore one teammate finishing 1st and the other finishing 10th each race will not win you the Constructor's Title.

To have a better chance at unlocking this Achievement you should pick a constructor capable of winning the World Championship, such as Red Bull, McLaren or Ferrari.

Solid Performance 40
Score points at every round of a Career or Co-op season

To unlock this Achievement, you have to score at least one point in every race of the 2011 Formula One season - either in Career Mode or an online Co-op season. This means that you will have to finish at least 10th in every race of the season - from 11th place onwards, drivers are not awarded any points.

Here are a couple of tips to make this easier in case you are having any problems:

- Set the A.I. difficulty level to Amateur
- Select AT&T Williams as your first team when you start your career, as they have the best chance out of the career-starting teams of finishing in the top 10
- Set the race distance to either one lap or three laps

Win 35 Online Races

As simple as the Achievement description says, you need to win 35 online races to unlock this Achievement. The best way of obtaining this Achievement is to set up a Custom Grand Prix race and choose Monaco as the track. Invite at least one friend and when in the race, crash. Whoever has gone the furthest distance before crashing, will be awarded the win. Continue to do this until you have 35 wins.

All online modes except for co-op count towards this Achievement.

Receive a Drive-through Penalty then go on to win the Race

Triggering a drive-through penalty only works when you set the rules and flags to realistic and set the race distance to 20% or more, as the game is programmed to only give time penalties under this distance.

Since the Achievement requires you to win the race, I would advise you set up another Custom Grand Prix online session and invite a friend. Set up the race in any way you want, only make sure to select 20% racing distance and set rules and flags to realistic and damage to cosmetic, just to be sure.

As soon as the race gets underway, start cutting corners wherever you can. Simply cut every turn and in a matter of 1-2 laps maximum you should receive a drive-through penalty. Serve your penalty and let your friend give you 1st place, then simply finish the remainder of the grand prix.

It's no problem, I definitely should have mentioned it somewhere, as I can easily understand how you could come to the conclusion you did. Anyway, thanks and have a good one. :)

I am Shelton on Xboxachievements, so no credit necessary. I was just trying out the guide system when it was first introduced; I thought this would be a good creation of mine to use.
