NOTE: DO NOT USE THE AUTOPILOT!!! IT WON'T WORK!
This starts when you are in ELITE difficulty that played through all the way from ROOKIE difficulty.

- Clear all waves of Bravo in a single play through without turning off the PC / Laptop.
Then save.

- Clear all waves of Tango in a single play through without turning off the PC / Laptop.
Then save.

- Clear all waves of Outer Region in a single play through without turning off the PC / Laptop.
Then save.

After that you have to continue REPLAY with another method. Yes, REPLAY!
Instead of clearing one whole sector at a time, you clear wave by wave and save everytime.
Here's how it works. [ DO NOT CREATE A NEW ID BUT CONTINUE WITH YOUR ID WITH THE TWIN LASERS]

Bravo - Wave 1, Tango - Wave 1, and Outer Region - Wave 1 [CLEAR & SAVE]
Meaning... you cleared all wave 1 of each sector and save.
After that, you can turn off your PC / Laptop and resume tomorrow if you wish.

And continue with the same method...
Bravo - Wave 2, then Tango - Wave 2, and Outer Region - Wave 2 & SAVE.

If everything goes well, by the end of all your efforts, you will get like this...
Bravo - Final Wave, Tango - Final Wave, Outer Region - Final Wave.

I got the ALL SECTOR cleared when I defeated the Bravo Boss and still left with Tango final wave and Outer Region final wave. Actually I was experimenting because I feel that to unlock ALL SECTORS means is to clear all difficulty and that includes the Rookie as well. In the end, I was right about it. Hope it works for you guys. ^_^

another "guide" says you can't quit waves once started. I'm not wasting 4 hours of my time for a CHANCE to get a bugged achievement. instead I will never buy another game from this fucking developer. and how can you change the difficulty after beating the game anyway? that's not possible, you can only select difficulty when you start a new game

Okay, I already followed from what you did from first and second step especially the save game method. Mine got "All Sectors" Achievement after I destroyed the fortress (boss) on Outer Regions Final Wave on Veteran difficulty. I got beaten by Outer Regions Final Wave boss though, which I lost 3 final waves from all sectors and it was a bit of pain and a little time consuming to start over from Bravo Final Wave. Now, at least there's no need to worry anymore. Thank you so much for this guide! Already favorited.

it worked.. i can confirm starting as Rookie, then finishing ALL Sectors (Bravo, Tango, and Outer, In any order), will put you at Veteran.
Same is true for Veteran, to move you on to Elite.
Once at Elite it seems you have to finish ALL Sectors twice, you may need to do a Full run of all 3 sectors before starting your second run at them, or you could do then Twice in any order you like.
It takes a long time no matter what and now i got it i cant look in to any other was of doing it..

But you can Save whenever you like as much or as little as you like, just keep track of which save is which (i kept a note of how much money each save had so i could load the right one.)

do you know if you must save when clearing by sector?
I have started a game as Rookie, done 1 to 9 in Bravo, then 1 to 9 in Tango, then 1 to 9 in Outer [SAVED]. (that should get me to Veteran).
Then decided to Clear by Waves (all wave 1s, then all wave 2s, and so on for the 9 waves), to clear what i hope was Veteran [SAVED]. (that should get me to Elite, i have noticed more ships in each wave)
Then i went back to Clearing by Sector, done 1 to 9 in Bravo, then 1 to 9 in Tango, then 1 to 9 in Outer [SAVED].
so all that seems to be left for me to do is Clear Elite one more time but this time by Wave.. have i gone wrong yet?

i know i can just do it and find out and tell you all, but i may give it a break for today, the game seems to lag sometimes and it can take almost 10min per wave, thats a long time for 27 more waves to do.... Will update you when i get them done.

Don't worry about achievements lol.. I used to be crazy about getting them.. Some of them are traps so beware and read them lol.

Followed this to the T - didn't work for me.
