"I always love building SMGs. The diverse shapes, feed mechanisms, unique features. The MP5, however, is a classic, and one of my new favourites.

Built a similar grip to what I used on my UMP-45, with some stability changes. Now it doesn't wobble or break quite as much. Magazine had to be taped up, but it still works with the mag release switch. Charging handle and shell ejector port work in tandem, as per usual. Stock was the biggest issue. Couldn't get a working lever system to latch it into the various positions, instead having to revert to the old "pin system". Underneath the arm of the stock is an actual pin, which can be removed to allow you to switch from the retracting stock to a fixed stock.

Overall, fun build with some unique challenges."
