Introduction
Don't stress when your game crashes for no reason and you can't find out why. There is a simple solution to fix this for you down below.
Step 1
First make sure tf2 is not open and go to your download folder.

Steam>steamapps>common>Team Fortress 2>tf>download.

This folder shows everything you have downloaded separately from the base game.
Step 2
Go into the folder called maps and delete everything in there. Sometimes crashing occurs when you have downloaded a lot of maps. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully so you don't accidentally delete the wrong thing.
Step 3
If your game still crashes when trying to connect to a server you can also try deleting everything in your materials, models, particles and sound folders.
DO NOT
delete anything outside of your download folder as it may break your game. Deleting these things will not harm your game in any way other than you having to re-download the custom maps you want.
Conclusion
This will not always fix your crashing problem if it is caused by another unknown factor. Please don't expect these instructions to work for everyone. If you liked this guide rate it up, favorite, and share it. Comment if it worked for you or if you need any help. I hope this guide helped you!
