How to Get the FG42 (No console, legit gameplay)

Contrary to popular belief, the FG42 is not bugged nor is it unobtainable without the console. The FG42 spawns in Gregor's Hotel, in the left hallway, top floor, first room to your left. Upon entering the room, it will be on the floor to your immediate left.

The FG42 will be there, however, it cannot be picked up immediately. In order to unlock the FG42, you must finish the game at least once. Upon completing the game, the FG42 will be unlocked and usable throughout all subsequent playthroughs.

What makes the gun so special?
The FG42 is a magazine-fed variant of the German MG42 'Buzzsaw' (Maschine Gewehr 42) machine gun. It is very powerful per shot, and has an almost insane rate of fire of 1200RPM. Basically, highest damage per second. By a long shot.
The clip is rather small, and empties quick with its' rate of fire. however, you have unlimited clips, so yes, unlimited ammo!

the fg42 is in fact not at all related to the mg42 besides the country of origin and time period in which it was used btw, if you already learned this in the last like 6 or 7 years and just never bothered fixing it dismiss this lol
