Southern Victory - The Second Great War

In 1862, the Confederate States of America, with the support of France and the United Kingdom, had become an independent nation after successfully defeating the United States in the American Civil War. Twenty years later, the two countries would fight again in what would become known as the Second Mexican War, however the South would remain victorious, due to their superior generals and French and British naval blockades.

This all changed in 1914 with the onset of the Great War, as the United States, who was allied with the German Empire and Austria-Hungary, easily defeated the Entente by annexing all of Canada, Kentucky, Sequoyah (Oklahoma), nothern Viriginia, and northwest Texas (which would later become the state of Houston). US President Theodore Roosevelt would then go on to impose Versailles-esque reparations on the South as a way to punish them for the war and to avenge their previous defeats against them.

Years later, tensions would once again flare up between the North and the South, as the Confederacy, which became a brutal dictatorship under the authoritarian leader Jake Featherston, seeks revenge against the North. The British and French, having become dictatorships as well under Oswald Mosley and King Charles XI respectively, seek revenge as well against the "Quadruple Powers" (Germany, it's puppet state Poland, the US, and it's puppet state Quebec). In the east, the Japanese have even been flexing its military muscle against the imperialist powers.

The year is 1936, and the stage is set for what appears to be a second Great War. Will the US finally defeat the Confederacy once and for all? Will the South crush it's most hated rival? Will a new global power emerge? It will all be decided in the Second Great War.

This mod is based off of the "Timeline 191" series of alternate history novels by Harry Turtledove and is also inspired by the series of YouTube videos by both AlternateHistoryHub and EmperorTigerstar.
