Easy Guide for Shadows Blur Together - Achievement

Since many players seem to go through a serious struggle trying to get this achievement i decided to get my easy, safe and reliable solution for obtaining this one out there.

You need:

Only 1 hero that's infected with the crimson curse, preferably already wasting. The cursed hero should be any rank 3/4 damage dealer/support class.
1 "rat carcass" very rare trinket, preferably combined with the "book of holiness" or the "gamblers charm" to lower death blow resistance on the cursed hero.
3 other heroes to form a reliable stall party with, able to withstand two frontline enemies for an extended amount of time. I prefer a Man-At-Arms, a Crusader and a Vestal.
to take a lot of bandages.
a little time and patience.
Disable reinforcements in the game options (only on darkest and radiant difficulty)
nothing else.

Execution.

Provision generously. Bandages and food are helpful here.
Equip the cursed hero with the aforementioned trinkets.
Take the party to the ruins for safety, difficulty or dungeon level doesnt really matter.
Play until you find an enemy setup which has an enemy that can only hit the two front positions, ideally a cultist brawler.
Switch the wasting and crying hero to the second position and carefully let the brawler lower his HP.
At the point when the bleed on the cursed hero will take him to deaths door, switch him back to position 3.
When the bleed has taken him to 0 HP, cure it with a bandage so he doesnt die from it.
While wasting the hero will occasionally hurt himself (and only himself), which will eventually pass the deaths door check and kill him.
Until that happens all you need to do is protect the 2 front ranks with MAA, heal any stress with the Crusader and occasionally heal the minimal incoming damage with the Vestal.
This can take quite a while, like 50 rounds. But its absolutely safe once you executed the steps above successfully.
Yes, the suicide of a hero due to the crimson curse triggers the achievement, i got mine this way.
Enjoy the stress-free cheese with some nice wine and always stay clear of overconfidence!

I've been chasing this one for ages and I thought I'd highlight something in case anyone else is struggling. Even with -deathblow trinkets it's still a 50/50 chance a wasting character is going to damage themselves.

I tried this with 2 wasting characters to double my chances (as the brawlers can only hit rank 1 & 2 so those two sat at the back). Even with those guys I got up to almost turn 100 and both characters passed their deathblow checks, I was super super annoyed

I ended up adding this mod that sets deathblow resists to 0% https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2126186202

You can save mid fight, exit and enable the mod and then later when they attack themselves they'll 100% die. I'm for fair achievements but I'm not wasting 6 hours on this incredibly tedious task

So, i gave it a shot and it worked, just got the achievement, took me 114 rounds to suicide a hero even with a gambling charm and carcass. i must say that this is the most easiest way to get it as it doesn't work with afficted characters (cuz the affiction works first apparently and then crimson curse). Thanks for this guide, genuinely appreciated:)

Probably one of the hardest achievements in the game, even with this method. It took me 4 hours and 6 dead heroes... Such bullshit RNG in something that dont even challenges player's skills. Thanks for the guide

I got mine when a crimson curse hero was in bloodlust mode and killed another hero that was at low health, so suicide isn't the only way to achieve it.

It works perfectly, even thou i made it after 106 rounds on strict mode. Never felt happier about suicide ever

Still working and got mine within 53 rounds. Make sure to keep the trinkets on the hero you're gonna loose so they don't die from the curse but they die from stabbing themselves for the blood.

Thanks, i finally get the achievement. I took me 92 rounds with one Bone Arbalist. And it's kinda sad cuz the hero with the curse hit him self 3 times, 1 time when he is not on death's door and another he dont die. But on the third, it's gone.

My hero died from the crimson curse and i didint get an achiev lol

As of 2022 this method STILL WORKS. I got achievement after stalling in Weald on two Apprentice Level Fungal Scratchers for 109 rounds. Just be patient, it will unlock eventually.
