Note
The achievements were all renamed after writing this guide, annoyingly. I think I've updated the guide to reflect the latest names but please let me know if you see a reference to an achievement you don't recognize or any other problems with this guide.
Progress Achievements
These achievements are unlocked naturally by completing the game:
  • The Beginning of the End: Complete the Prologue stage.
  • Boss Beatdown: Defeat the 8 numbered members of Rosenkreuzstilette.
  • Demon Castle's Collapse: Defeat Count Zeppelin.
  • Successor of the Rose Cross: Finish the game as Spiritia Rosenberg.

If you skipped the Prologue, just start a new game and do it; it's very easy. Hint: don't attack Freudia while her hand is raised after she's done attacking. Wait until she lowers it.
The Secret of the Forest
Add the spunky Lilli to your arsenal.

Right after the mid-stage checkpoint in Trauare's Stage, drop into the hole. Avoid the spikes and fall to the bottom. Get the item.

This is something you probably want to do regardless of the achievement, as Lilli is a useful upgrade to have.

This can only be done as Spiritia.
Miss Perfect
Complete a stage without taking any damage.

This achievement is easily obtained in Liebea's stage; it's probably the easiest stage in the game. Just proceed carefully and slowly to avoid taking damage.

To game this achievement even more, put in this password. (If you're wondering why it looks like that, it's from a Mega Man 4 password generator, and RKS uses the exact same passwords as Mega Man 4, so there you go.) This will put you at the start of Liebea's stage with every other member of RKS defeated and Lilli in your possession, giving you access to every weapon and item available. Silberflügel Eins and D. G. Zukunft are especially useful for making your way through the stage easily. Zornesbomb kills the otherwise invincible enemy skulls on the floor. Freudenstachel will make short work of the boss herself.
Ready!
Max out your supply of Cross Tanks.

The maximum is 9, so that's how many you need to get.

It may not be worth your time to specifically go out of your way to get this achievement. Depending on your skill level, you may end up farming for 9 Cross Tanks just to get through some of the harder sections in Grolla Mode. Grolla mode is not very well balanced or fun, and some bosses that are perfectly manageable as Spiritia are extremely difficult as Grolla.

If you do decide to just go for this achievement, don't just quit the game after getting 9 Cross Tanks; having 9 Cross Tanks will make it much easier to go for a difficult achievement like Headhunter or Double K.O.!

But anyway... to easily and quickly obtain this achievement, start a new game. Select Freudia's Stage, collect the two cross tanks, game over, repeat. This takes five runs. It's tedious but it works, and is probably the fastest way.

If you struggle with Freudia's Stage and need to use D. G. Zukunft to get through it, the provided password will take you to Freudia with every other boss defeated and Lilli in your possession. Of course, this is not what you want to do if you're going for Headhunter or Double K.O.! afterwards.
Plumber's Helper
Collect all 100 coins in Schwer-Muta's domain.

Go to Schwer-Muta's stage. On the screen with the coins, collect all of them.

If you follow my strategy for the "Headhunter" achievement, you will end up doing this as part of that, so you don't need to specifically go for this one on its own.

The first thing to do is slide through the wall on the left, and then use Silberflügel Eins to get on top of the ceiling. This is required to get all the coins. Once you get all the coins up top, go back around to the left, drop down, and slide back through the wall to collect the remaining coins there. Once you drop down from the top, or slide through the hole, you can't return to the lefthand side of the stage, so you must get all the coins there first.

I believe this requires Silberflügel Eins; Silberflügel Zwei alone does not cut it. If it is possible with just Zwei, it's difficult. If you're following the "intended" weakness order (starting with Liebea and ending with Freudia) you will not have Eins when you play Schwer-Muta's stage, necessitating that you go out of your way for it. Here is a password that will take you to Schwer-Muta's stage with every other member of RKS defeated, making this achievement easy to get.

You can also get the coins as Grolla, but it's a bit tricky.
Double K.O.!
Run out of time while facing Zorne Zeppelin.

While fighting Zorne, reduce her health to half to put her in critical mode, which will cause the screen to start filling with blocks. Then, wait until the screen fully fills up with blocks, which will instantly kill both you and Zorne.

This is actually surprisingly tricky; Zorne is rather dangerous when she goes critical, and you have to survive for a long time to make this happen.

If you're struggling with this achievement, there's a few tricks you can try:

1) As Spiritia, use Silberflügel Eins. This will lift you off the ground, making you relatively safe for a short time. This helps you survive longer. You just gotta watch out for bombs placed directly beneath you, but there's enough room on Eins to maneuver to a position where they can't reach you, no matter where it's placed.

2) Be Grolla. Grolla's wall-climbing and high speed will make it much easier to avoid Zorne's attacks. I have personally done this as both Spiritia and Grolla, and it is far, far easier as Grolla.

And for either character, if you're still stuck, stock up on Cross Tanks before coming in. (You shouldn't need Cross Tanks for Grolla, though...) This password will take you to Zorne with most other bosses defeated (giving you, among other things, the important Silberflügel Eins). Freudia is left undefeated as well so you can easily accrue Cross Tanks in her stage if needed. Unfortunately, the passwords do not save lives or cross tanks.
I'm Not Done Yet!
Defeat a boss with only one point of Vitality left.

I happened to get this achievement by chance while playing this game. If you aren't lucky enough to have that happen, try this strategy. You will be playing Liebea's stage, as in Miss Perfect, except instead of not taking any damage, you will be very carefully only taking damage from specific enemies at specific times, and avoiding taking any further damage or picking up any health items. You can use the password provided in Miss Perfect to make this challenge easier if you wish.

You start with 28 health. About halfway through the stage, allow the large spikes that drop from the ceiling to hit you three times. Each does 7 damage, so this takes you to 7 health.

Two screens after the large dropping spikes, there are two small health pellets, which restore 2 health; pick up one of them. This takes you to 9 health.

On the next screen, allow the skull on the floor to hit you twice for 4 damage each, taking you to 1 health. Now, as in Untouchable, play through the rest of the stage without taking damage (or picking up any health.)
Headhunter
You unlock this achievement by getting 9 1-ups. You start with two lives, so you need to collect 7 lives to reach 9 and get the achievement (assuming you didn't die.)

Here is a route I worked out that gets you to the 9 easiest-to-reach 1-ups in the game with minimal danger. If you die once or twice, your run is not over, but you will have to keep playing to get more lives to replace the ones lost.

Put in this password, which will start you with Liebea, Zorne, and Grolla defeated. (There are no 1-ups or Cross Tanks in any of their stages, as far as I know. Anyway, you don't need them.)

Go to Luste's Stage and beat it. There's a 1-up in plain sight. Get it. You should have 3 lives now.
Go to Schwer-Muta's stage and beat it. Collect all the coins in the screen with the coins, and then grab the 1-up in the trap and use Silberflügel Eins or Zwei to escape before the blocks drop away. Don't bother with the Cross Tank on the second screen. You should have 5 lives now.
Go to Trauare's Stage. The first 1-up is in plain sight, and is easy to get with Silberflügel Zwei. After the midpoint, take the lower route, grab the 1-up, and then return to the midpoint and take the upper route. Use Zornesbomb to get the 1-up on the upper route, complete the stage. You should have 8 lives now.
Go to Sichte's Stage. The first 1-up is in plain sight; get it with Silberflügel Eins. If you haven't lost any lives, you should be at 9.

If you have lost lives, keep going; there's another 1-up just a little further on. After the turtle midboss, slide through the corner on the next screen to go to a secret area and get the 1-up there.

If you are still not done, beat the stage.
Go to Freudia's Stage. Get the 1-up there.

If you're still not done, try grinding enemies, or just give up and try again. The next 1-up isn't until Zeppelin 3, so if you weren't able to get this far without losing as many lives as you did, your chances of reaching 9 in Zeppelin Castle or beyond are not good.

When going for this achievement, don't be shy, use your Cross Tanks. Better to spend one than lose a precious 1-up. You may even want to stock up on Cross Tanks in Freudia's Stage before making an attempt for this achievement.

Enemies very rarely drop 1-ups; if you want an easy but very tedious way of getting this achievement, go to the point in Grolla's Stage or Zeppelin Stage 3 where there are zombies that respawn forever, and kill them repeatedly until they drop enough 1-ups. You can also do a mix between this strategy and the other, getting as many as you can from pickups and then finishing off with zombies (or other random enemies, but zombies are by far the fastest.)

I believe this achievement can be gotten as Grolla, but I imagine it's actually more difficult as her.
Devil Hunter
Defeat the Deviled Egg without taking any damage.

The Deviled Egg is in Iris Stage 2. Put in the provided password to go to Iris Stage 1; you'll have to fight your way back to Iris 2. Be glad there's a password for the Iris Castle at all, because in previous versions of the game, there wasn't. You had to beat Zeppelin Castle and Iris Castle in one sitting. (This is like Mega Man 4, where you had to beat Cossack Castle and Wily Castle in one sitting. There's no equivalent password in Mega Man 4, which is why I didn't use the MM4 password generator for this one. This image is one I took myself, as apparently, the Iris Castle passwords were changed in the Steam version.)
The Deviled Egg is weak to Liebessturm. The boss is still very hard, though; you'll have to memorize the boss's attack pattern and practice.

If you get hit, you can and should continue fighting in order to practice dodging the boss's attacks, but make sure you do not kill the boss. If you kill the boss you'll have to reset the game and start from Iris 1 again.

There is some good news: the pattern is fixed, regardless of whether gravity is normal or reversed, and regardless of whether the Deviled Egg is going left or right. The pattern is:
Slide, jump ... jump, slide, slide ... slide ... jump, slide ... jump.

Memorize just this one pattern and you're good. Executing it consistently is another matter. The slides are tricky; they gotta be short as you have very little room. Some of the "slides" are easier to jump but pick one or the other and do it consistently; don't switch between sliding and jumping the first one, for example.

I do not recommend attempting this as Grolla; she does less damage, and it's more difficult to attack the boss without taking damage (you have to go right up to the eye to attack, and the eye fires a shot during the brief window it's open.)
The Swordswoman of Spite
Finish the game as Grolla Seyfarth.

To play as Grolla, input the code Left, Right, Next Weapon, Previous Weapon on the very first screen after you launch the game. You can quickly and easily go back to this screen at any time without closing and relaunching the game by pressing Escape.

Good luck; beating the game as Grolla is hard. Grolla doesn't get new weapons, and is limited to her sword, so you can't use weakness weapons against bosses, making them all much more challenging. Zeppelin 1's Cross Wall is extremely difficult as Grolla. The "obvious" approach is to dash jump and slash at the boss, but if you get hit while doing this you'll fall and die. If you stand on the lower block, and stand on the left edge, and charge, you can hit the boss without jumping, so you can attack it safely; however, you'll soak up loads of damage, and need to spam E-Tanks. There's just no good solution; this boss wasn't designed with Grolla in mind.

Iris 3 is also a major pain point a Grolla playthrough. The refights are much more manageable as Spiritia because she can exploit the bosses' weaknesses, but Grolla can't do that. You'll have to learn all of the bosses' patterns, and you'll likely have to use multiple Cross Tanks here.

You can "cheat" this achievement by simply putting in the password for the Iris 1 without playing through the rest of the game. I personally don't support this, as it violates the spirit of the achievement, but hey, it's your call. This skips the infurating Cross Wall in Zeppelin 1, but you still gotta deal with Iris 3.
Speedrun Achievements
These two achievements will simply require effort and practice; there's no shortcuts for these that I know of.

Mega Master
Finish the game as Spiritia in 60 minutes or less.
You have to start the game from the beginning rather than putting in a password. However, you can and should skip the intro stage. I recommend playing on arcade mode to automatically skip dialogue. I don't know if the Intro Stage and dialogue count against you, but better safe than sorry, and there's also no sense in bothering with anything unnecessary when this will likely take you multiple attempts.

That said, this isn't that hard... top realtime speedruns of this game are 25 minutes-ish. you can go half that speed and still make it with room to spare. Just play through the game without dawdling or dying too much and you should get this. Watch a speedrun of this game to get an idea of how to do this; there's plenty available on the internet.

From Zero to Hero
Finish the game as Grolla in 60 minutes or less.
See the notes for The Swordswoman of Spite and Mega Master. You'll have to get pretty good at Grolla, mostly for the sake of avoiding a bunch of deaths or grinding for Cross Tanks. Grolla's high speed makes it easy to sail through the stages, so the only real challenge is not dying too much on bosses.

Does Grolla mode have different story or dialogue?

Excellent guide! Thank you!
I'd like to add my trick for "I'm Not Done Yet!". After acquired Lustatem, go to Zorne stage and progress normally till right before the boss door. The "shield" enemy deals 3 damage and the "dragon" enemy deals 4 damage. Between them you can always bring your HP to 1. Then proceed to defeat Zorne without getting hit, which shouldn't be too hard with Lustatem.

This stupid Cross Wall can easily ruin Groll speedrun.
I hate you Cross wall!!!!!:madskull:
