Starting a new game:
*Before you begin*

Before you start, make sure the 2 fighting slaves you start with are acceptable to your tastes. To do this, as soon as the intro is finished (whether you skipped it or not does not matter) you will be brought to a screen of you standing outside your mannor.

Now hit ESC and you can preview which two fighting slaves that were randomly selected to start with you. From here you can exit the game, return to the title menu, and restart until you are satisfied with your team.
Fighting slaves have six different classes. In the example here i have a Warrior and a Blade. Posted below will be a brief description of each class to help you choose which two you prefer.
I would suggest going big early, and buying finesse when you expand your 'dungeon'. Your fighting slaves will have to take on multible fights in one week until you fill out your roster so the extra beef helps.

*After the tour*

Go ahead and take the tour as it breaks down the basics of the town. The game is pretty basic so there isn't much to explain.
Traveling around is done by simply clicking on the appropriate icon. As shown on this map here, you can head into town by clicking in the lower right of the map when the 'bag' icon appears. Here is where you can interact with the beginning blacksmith and the seer.
The SEER
*Haimmon*

The seer of Fleetfield acts as liaison to staff and builders for your estate. Everything that you can purchase from him he explains in an acceptable manner. Estate upgrades and the staff to run it all must be purchased through here. As a basic guide, i will not go into major detail. This is where you are going to want to spend your winnings. Upgrading your estate will bring about various bonuses toward being successful in the arena.

First you will have to restore the appropriate building before you can staff it. As you can see here it is fairly expensive to clean up and outfit each individual building withing your estate. As you attempt to purchase any upgrade he begins to describe the basics of that upgrade. Start to build a stradegy on which bonuses you want to obtain and in what order. Upgrades also increase your weekly rent so keep your bottom line in mind.

After you purchase a restoration, you must staff that building to gain anything from it. Once again, he describes everything you need to know, and its basic in nature, so just a few clicks will answer any questions about details. i.e. Training yard needs a trainer. The library needs a scribe. The mess hall needs a cook. All pretty basic. It takes an additional week to hire your staff, and once employed staff will also increase your cost per week through their weekly salary.
Make sure you have the gold enough to cover not only the restoration, but the staff member, and the weekly cost increases.
The BLACKSMITH
*Buy weapons*

Here is where you purchase your beginning gear for your fighting slaves. I would advise buying the best in slot weapon for each of your fighting slaves first. At early levels, your opponents have neither a lot of attack power or hit points. Take advantage of this by dealing the most damage possible. Once they start to incease their damage output you should have gold enough to buy all the best armor pieces as well.

Where you decide to spend your gold each week adds a lot of flavor and feeling of control. Do you spend it on gear for your fighting slaves? Do you restore the library? Do you purchase another cell to get another fighting slave? How you decide to run your faction does have an impact and thats where your stradegy comes into play. The great thing about it is there isn't a one shoe fits all stradegy. You can go about it many ways and depending on which fighting slaves you start with, you could and should change up what you spend your gold on.

After you make your purchases, head to the edge of the screen to exit and return to the map mode. From here click on the 'cell' icon located in the upper left of the screen. Time to visit your friendly fighting slaves!! yay.
The CELLS
*Talk to your slaves*

Click on the door of the cell to interact with that fighting slave. By now, you should be familiar with walking around and interacting with the game. Here is where you can talk to your factions team of fighting slaves. You are going to want to talk to your slaves each week as it can have a positive effect on morale and toward building a relationship with your fighting slaves.

Once you begin the conversation you are given a little background story for that fighting slave. You get to choose one of four options to move the conversation along. One of the choices result in a positive gain in morale and relationship, two of them in no change, and one resulting in a loss to morale. Morale effects how well your fighting slave does in battle, so try to keep it as high as possible.

After you finished chatting up your fighting slaves about the good life, head to your manor and talk to Matilda, your steward. Located here with the 'quill' icon.

Here is where you accept fights for your faction. Win fights. Upgrade manor. Win fights. Buy better gear. Win fights. So on and so forth. This basic guide for BEGINNERS is here to help you start off on the right foot...
The Achievements
*Achievements*

Sadly the acievements in the game are more of a checklist. Simply purchase all the upgrades to your estate and win in every arena at least once. And by win i mean take out their champion. You get to visit each arena multible times so you need not win on your first attempt. Usually you will have to cycle through a few more fights before you return to the arena you lost to try again. With that in mind here are a few tips that will keep you heading in the right direction.
  • Save before every important fight.
  • The first fight in every venue is always the easiest. Have your weakest go here.
  • Damage trumps defense. Keep ur slaves outfitted for damage first.
  • Morale effects revenue! Keep ur slaves happy.
  • Don't be afraid to rest a week. Some venues are better to avoid if you can't win there.

Thats my beginners guide to Crown Champion: Legends of the Arena. If i left anything out, or made any mistakes, please kindly notify me and i can edit as needed. If there is enough backing i could make a more detailed guide on the rock-paper-scissor stradegies of the classes and which tactics work best where.

Enjoy!!
