Hello
Hi. My name's Ceres. I've been playing Warframe for close to 4 years now. This is my first own guide. I'm gonna share to you, the way I earn platinum. (Updated for 2018, though most of the information I said before still applies.)
Here are some ways to earn Platinum(!)
  1. Syndicate
  2. Vault Runs
  3. Farming Prime Parts
  4. Eidolons
  5. Riven Mods
  6. Buy And Sell
  7. Buy Platinum using Real Money (I don't do this, but I still included it on the list. There will be an explanation for it)
First one is Syndicate/s
As a Tenno, you have the option to join 3 (4 if you push it) syndicates out of 6. These syndicates are: Steel Meridian, Arbiters of Hexis, Cephalon Suda, Perrin Sequence, Red Veil, and New Loka. My personal syndicates are Steel Meridian and Red Veil.

The basic idea behind this method is, if I have free time, I farm syndicate points. You can get points with a syndicate by equipping it's sigil and running missions, as well as a predetermined amount (3-5k) base per syndicate mission. Then, if you already maxed all of your syndicates, which is 132,000 per syndicate, you can sell parts on your syndicate. But keep in mind, you can only sell Archwing weapon parts, mods, weapon, & scenes.

These are my prices on each of them
  • Archwing Weapon Parts = 5p each
  • Mods= 10p-15p each
  • Weapon/s - Secondary = 25p/30p , Primary&Melee= 30p-35p
  • Scenes = I'm not really sure about the price, but i see traders sell it for 40p-50p. (I haven't really tried to sell a scene)
Also, you really wouldn't notice that your syndicates are maxed out if you're doing random missions, so check the bar infrequently (it's located to the left of your Navigator segment in the Orbiter).
Vault Runs
For this method, you will need the following:

1x Dragon Key
1x Orokin Derelict Key (Preferrably Capture/Exterminate)
4x Teammates
Common Sense (Not so common nowadays :P)
Patience. Lots. Of. Patience.

First, the Dragon Key. You can acquire the blueprints from the Orokin Lab in the Dojo. The blueprints are reusable, and cost a few resources to build.

The Dragon Keys are gear items that, when equipped, inflict a debuff on your warframe. There are four of them, Bleeding, Decaying, Extinguished and Hobbled.

Orokin Derelict Keys can be acquired in the Market for credits, just buy it. It's worth the price.

Next, you need a team. 4 Warframes with each carrying a different key, with who carries what left up to your discretion.

Now you go ahead and use an Orokin Derelict Capture key to start the mission, proceed to complete the objective while SCOURING THE ENTIRE DAMN MAP for something that looks like this:

The door will require a key, which one of you will be carrying. Have that Tenno open the door. Inside you'll find a shiny object that one of you will pick up for yet another debuff. Corrupted will spawn and try to stop your team, kill them while on your way to extraction, where RNGesus will determine if you get screwed or not.

The mods you are looking for are:
Transient Fortitude, Blind Rage, Narrow Minded, Overextended and so on. You can sell these for around 20-30p.
Farm Prime Parts
Prime Parts are a slow, but potentially lucrative investment. The idea is to stock up on sets and wait for DE to vault it, making the item unobtainable until it's unvaulting later on, whenever this may be.

For example, say Rhino Prime was available for farming in the Relic Pool. Just farm a set and sit on it for a few months. Don't jump the gun and attempt to sell it while it's available, it will most likely sell for as low as 20p. Compare that to the hundreds of plats (I've seen a Rhino Prime set being sold for upwards of 500p) you can potentially gain just by being patient!

TLDR: Farm Prime Set > Sit on Prime Set > Wait for Supply to Diminish > Sell Prime set > ??? > Plats!

You can check prices on parts with this link: Warframe Market [warframe.market].
Eidolons
For Veterans:
1. Get Lanka.
2. Forma 6 times.
3. Get Lanka Riven (Damage, Crit Damage, Multishot) is preferred.
4. Get Harrow/Oberon and mod for Eidolon runs (Tons of these out there, look at google.)
5a. Get an Amp.
Beginners start here:
5b. No Amp? Get a friendly party and have them carry your ass. (so you know what to do next time)
6. Grab Arcane drop
7. Sell Arcane for plats.

There are a lot of Arcanes in the drop pool, and they are a random drop from Eidolons. Basically they give your Warframe a small boost in a certain area, for example, Arcane Strike provides a chance on each hit with any weapon to increase the speed of melee attacks for a short time. You can level up Arcanes by sacrificing more of it of the same type, which each level requiring more arcanes, but in exchange it makes the arcane more powerful.

Arcanes like Arcane Strike can be sold for around 20p, while Arcane Fury can be sold for around 45p. Once again, check Warframe Market[warframe.market] for an idea of how much they sell for.
Riven Mods
This is a relatively new thing in Warframe. In a sense, it's a "How to get rich in warframe instantly" kind of thing if done right.

The premise here is to do your daily Sorties like you beat your meat; every day. Got it? ;)

Every end of Sortie, you have a chance to get a Riven mod. But if you're like a friend I know, you'll just end up getting an Ayatan Sculpture or Endo instead. Tough luck if this is the case, just do it again tomorrow~

Right, so maybe you got here and are wondering, what are Riven Mods? Basically, Riven mods are a special type of mod that 'fuses' different kinds of mods together into one mod (effectively also giving the bonuses of said mods). It can have 2-3 positive stats, and optionally carry a curse, which is a negative stat (but this has the added effect of boosting the strength of the positive stats by a significant margin.) But the catch is, you have to do a mission (which you can check by hovering over the riven's mod card), while said mod is equipped on a weapon compatible with it (rifle riven goes into a rifle, melee to a melee, etc). Good news though, you can complete the Riven Mission with any weapon you choose, it doesn't have to be the weapon with the veiled riven on it (Can you imagine killing 3 flying Condors within 5 seconds in the Plains of Eidolon with nothing but a melee weapon?).

But if you decide that the mission is not for you, you can sell it.

Here I'll list a general price for each veiled riven mod:
  • Veiled Rifle = 20p -30p
  • Veiled Pistol = 15p-25p
  • Veiled Shotgun = 50p-100p
  • Veiled Melee = 30-40p

So, if you want to sell just the veiled ones, then that's the price range I am currently aware of.

    ----------------------

Now comes the part that can potentially make you thousands of plat. You will have to sell your unveiled Riven Mods, and how much they sell for depends on the riven itself. You can judge how much a particular Riven can cost by using this link: Riven Market[riven.market] .

I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert in this, I know for a fact that there are people out there with more authority on this matter than I do, but the general ideas concerning this are:

Popular Weapons sell for more than Non-Popular ones (Lanka vs Vasto) and
Riven Stats determine it's price (Multishot and Damage in general are more desirable, preferably with a negligible downside). Addendum: Riven stats are determined by it's disposition rating, with a higher disposition rating equating to higher possible stats.

You can reroll Rivens with Kuva, a resource that is gathered from Kuva Missions. You can find this type of missions in the Star Chart after you finish a certain quest. Rerolling gets more expensive the more you do it to the same mod (900 on first try, 3500 cap), with the chances to get desirable and high stats being better with a higher disposition rating AFAIK.
Buy And Sell
Buy cheap, sell it more expensive than the older price

This method works best with an available capital (200p on the bank or something)

The basic premise here is that you buy items at a lower price, then sell it for something higher than what you bought it for:

Example: I buy Ammo Drum for 5p. Then sell Ammo Drum for 10p. Profit of 5p~

The most prominent use for this method is with Riven Mods. You buy desirable riven mods with bad stats on the Trading Channel, then reroll it to get better stats, then sell it. That's pretty much how it goes.
Buy Platinum using Real Money
Well, if you have THE MONEH, you can buy plats using money. Buying platinum using real money is also a way to get platinum and to support the game. I personally don't recommend this method, because near everything in the game is obtainable by just playing it normally...

whisper Please don't use your parent's cards to buy platinum for the game, that's stealing... 😓

Overall this method is for the people who have jobs and want to support the game, because the money spent here helps the developers pay for and improve the game.
Thank you
tyvm, i hope it helps.

Syndicates: You can have 3 Syndicates easy, 4 if you are willing to work a little harder. Prices people are willing to pay vary from day to day. Keep an eye on sites like Warframe Market to keep your prices in check. You can even list things there.
