Play ANY Sounds on MOST Servers

With this guide you can play any sound on any arma 3 server!

Notice!
  • This guide has to be read! Don't just look at the pictures.
  • Statements in Brackets ([]) like this [Windows] are Keys on your Keyboard.
  • Statements in Quoation marks ("") like this "Documents" are to be written without the Quoation marks.

Overview
Open your Documents Folder 
Create a folder inside Arma 3 named "Sounds" 
Drag your Sounds inside 
Play 'em

Open your Documents Folder
1. Hold [Windows] and Press [R]
*A window shows up*

1.1 Type "Documents" in the Window and press [Enter] afterwards.
*A Window appears in the Path "Documents"*
Create a folder inside Arma 3 named "Sounds"
1. Doubleclick on your "Arma 3" Folder
Note: If you have multiple Profiles, you have to select Folder "Arma 3 - Other Profiles", Select your Profile Folder in there and just continue from there.
2. Rightclick anywhere empty and create a new folder.


2.1 Call this Folder "Sound"
(If you have clicked away, Leftclick once and press [F2])
Drag your Sounds inside
Place your Sounds inside the Sound Folder
Notice!
  • Only the .ogg Format is accepteted
  • only 50kb large Files can be played in-game
  • you can only put in 9 diffrent songs, not more. (we'll get to that in a second.)
Else it won't work!
Play 'em
You're done with the boring part! Let's play some awesome sounds!

Open a little in-game Window
When you're in-game, first press [0] *a little window opens on the left* then [9] *you just selected option "invidual"* and after that you'll see the names of the files (which will be typed in the chat after you played a sound).

Play a sound
To select a sound, press one of those keys [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8] or [9].
(You have to press the number keys above your usual keys, not numpad!)

There you go! That's it.

Huh? I don't see any Names or files or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ it is.
That's because your files are larger than 50kb, dummy ;)

How the hell am i supposed to convert and/or compress my files???
You're too stupid to convert the files to .ogg? You don't know how to compress your sounds?

I wonder if there is a way to set the limit higher server-side.

@Astronaut Yeah i just realised that. The first reason it wouldn't work was because i needed to restart arma then when i went to rejoin the server it said the sound file limit was 0 kb so it wouldn't allow me to have one

That's because every server has a diffrent Policy (Rules, basically) of using sounds

it plays the sounds but only for me no one else can hear and i am making sure i am in the right channel

Have you checked the channel?
Everyone can hear the sounds, it depends on which channel you're playing them.

Play it on side channel while you're with your friends on your custom server, not on public servers (mostly, they don't like that very much).

Am I the only one who can hear the sounds? Tried it on a custom server with friends but they can't hear anything, works fine for me.

Just put your phone near ut mic and play any music!
