First problem - can't launch the game (red bar in launcher that says "memory requirement"):

1 - go to your steam games library

2 - right click "The Amazing Spider-Man" in the games list

3 - click "Manage" -> "Browse Local Files"

4 - now you are seeing the folder where the files of this games are stored in your computer

5 - right click "VideoDetection.dll" cut it and paste it in your desktop

After doing all of this, the red bar will disappear and you can launch the game.

Second problem - can't change the resolution of the game with the launcher:

1 - open the launcher and set the settings the way you want

2 - do not start the game and close the launcher

3 - go to your steam games library

4 - right click "The Amazing Spider-Man" in the games list

5 - click "Manage" -> "Browse Local Files"

6 - now you are seeing the folder where the files of this games are stored in your computer

7 - right click "ASMLauncher" cut it and paste it in your desktop

8 - right click "Game" and rename it to "ASMLauncher"

9 - start the game and close it again, it should still have the wrong resolution

10 - do a windows search (in the task bar) and write "regedit", then click it

11 - you are now seeing the "registry", a set of usually unseen settings files

12 - navigate through the folders in this order:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Activision \ ASM \ Settings \ Display

13 - on the right side, you will see many files with a long set of numbers like this 0x00000003 (3)

14 - look for the file named "Width" and the file named "Height"

15 - right click "Width" and click "modify"

16 - on the right side of the window that appears, choose "decimal"

17 - in the text box on the left side, write "1920" and click the "OK" button

18 - right click "Height" and click "modify"

19 - on the right side of the window that appears, choose "decimal"

20 - in the text box on the left side, write "1080" and click the "OK" button

21 - close the "regedit" window and start the game

Now the game will start immediately without using the launcher first.

The instructions i gave in point "17" and point "20" were for 1920x1080 resolution (1080p).
Whatever resolution you want (1280x720 , 1366x768...) just change the "Width" decimal number to the first number of the resolution and change the "Height" decimal number to the second number of the resolution, in the "regedit".
