Overview
Super is an Open-world Platform game that takes place in Venture City. You play a hero of your making, and live its life to the end. As you explore, complete tasks, and activities... you may unlock more Origins, Aliases, and Abilities to choose from during the next time you create a hero.

HUD
Character Origins
Your Character's Origin is its back story. Where it all began.

Vagabond
Born from the streets and living there still, you've become used to existing without means. You have the Skills to survive, one way or the other.

Average
Raised with an average upbringing, you have acquired some basic Skills and Devices. With modest means and a typical city home, you make your way in the world.

Olympian
Through a history of training, you've acquired fitness Skills. You live in a home that an ex-trainer and Gold Medalist can afford.

Military
Most of what you know comes from the battlefield. With an array of Skills and Devices at your disposal, you set out to make your mark. You reside in an old city bunker.

Mutant
Mutated from an unknown source, you've received some interesting side effects. Living your life in the shadows is sometimes best.

Wealthy
Born with money to burn and a high IQ to boot, you've made yourself a few Powerful Devices.
Character Jobs and Aliases
An Alias is what the character does for a living in the mondane world. Each Alias has its own set of ablities.

Vagrant
Down on your luck, and out on the street. How will you use your Skills to better your situation?

Rookie
While growing up, you heard stories of corruption both on the streets, and off. Not being able to stand idly by, you joined The Force. With the Tools and Skills to use them, will you make a difference?

First Responder
Action driven, with a lean toward the civic minded... you decided to help those who need it most... everyone! Put out fires. Resuscitate Citizens. Carry those who need help, to the hospital. Use the Skills and Devices of your trade!

Cleaner
Rivaling that of the famous Dario and Stew Squeegy brothers, you do cleaning jobs while high-jumping and climbing to avoid unregulated dangers. Use those Powerful cleaning Skills!

Courier
Always speedy and willing to deliver... You decided to make your mark racing from place to place. It's all Skill baby!

Snoop
Always curious...always on the go. You have a nose for news, which can bring both great trouble and rewards. Take pictures of the action for money. But, be careful not to take pictures of the same thing twice... it will cost you! Skills and Devices!

Builder
Use city tax money to build and repair the city. Use traffic signs to direct pedestrians. Grab Safety Equipment from the Dropper. Cycle pieces with the switch... place the parts to effect traffic flow. The City earns Cash the first time each citizen interacts with a piece of Equipment.

Thug
Feeling outcast by society, you fore-go the 'civil' life of honest living. Now you enter unoccupied homes at night to take what you can from the society that wronged you. Enter windows, then search rooms and objects to steal cash. Avoid cameras or security will search for you! If you enter at night, you can see who is home by window light.

Scientist
Researching new technology, to better mankind?

Abilities
Origins and Aliases each come with two abilities. Each ability belongs to one of three categories: Powers, Skills, and Devices. Some abilities can be found or purchased. During character creation, these abilities are selectable whenever an Origin or Alias contains a category it belongs to. Stacking the same ability will increase the effect of that ability (i.e. selecting "Super-Jump" twice will allow a double-jump).

Powers
Powers are abilities that are normally beyond natural ability.

Insight
See into the minds of others...

Beam
Shoot laser beams.

Super Jump
Stacking this skill accumulatively grants you: High-Jump, then Double-Jump.

Super Speed
Faster than a speeding projectile!

Flight
With this power, you can JUMP or FALL... then fly through the air.

Skills
Skills are acquired through dedication and training.

Fighting
Stacking this skill accumulatively grants you: Punch, Block, Kick, then Reflect.

Capture
Capture citizens, good or bad. The Enclave will take the Cops you've captured, and Cops will take in robbers... provided you are Deputized.

Acrobatics
Jump down ledges.

Deputized
The police will ignore you.

Car License
Certified to drive land vehicles.

Helicopter License
Certified to fly air vehicles.

Civil Engineering
Skilled as an Engineer, you can use the Construction Dropper to create signs which direct traffic.

Heavy Lifting
You are able to carry citizens... to the hospital, or a place behind bars!

First Aid
Heal 'downed' citizens!

Salvage
Find useful objects in containers. Sell them for cash or construction.

Devices
Devices are tools and weapons constructed by genius.

Pistol
You are able to use pistols.

Grapple Hook
Grapple onto distant windows and certain objects.

Lockpicks
Enter building windows. Trying to Enter a building while people are present can get you busted. Open dark windows, which can only be detected at night.

Extinguisher
Use this to put out fires!

Camera
Use this to take pictures for some quick cash. The more in your picture, the bigger the bonus. The closer the shot, the bigger the bonus...

Super Home
Your Origin determines the type of home you have. Each Super-home comes complete with a Changing Booth and a Bed to Save your game in!
Vehicles
When a character has a license, they may drive or pilot the vehicle type they have a license for. More than one license stack allows for more complicated vehicles.

Cars
Cars allow you to drive back and forth in the city at high speeds. If you drive outside of the City Limits, you will hit the road to new locations (upcoming feature).

Helicopters
Helicopters allow you to fly to inaccessible locations in the city.
Citizens
Citizens walk the streets 24 hours a day. There are peak and slow hours of traffic for both the law abiding, and those working below board. The rougher crowd tend to come out at night, while most of employed populous come out in the day. Citizens drive the city economy.

Citizen Types
There are many types of Citizens, each with their own agendas.

Stiffs
A Stiff is just the average person trying to make their way in the world. You will see them heading to factories adding to the city stock, or on their way to the store to purchase stock... aiding the city's economy, or perhaps just heading home.

Cops
Cops wander the streets looking for crime. If they see you firing a weapon or harming a citizen, they will usually attack. They will also free captured citizens, who will have no problem telling the cops who tied them up in the first place.

Medics
Medics aid those who have fallen, or have become injured due to a city accident.

Robbers
Robbers steal stock from the city shops. Capturing and taking them to jail will return the stock to the city, and give you a hefty reward and some recognition.

Enforcers
Enforcers are the anti-cop. They will attack if you thwart their efforts one too many times.

Aliens
Yes, the city is populated with Aliens from another world. Good luck finding them unless they want you to!

Citizen Needs
Every citizen has a current need. They are single minded, but have them none the less.

Help
A citizen crying for help is in need for sure! They tend to do this when caught on fire, stranded on a building, or being hauled off by an Alien Ship. Take these people to the Hospital for favor, recognition, and possibly a reward!

Escape
When a Robber is trying to Escape, they have just robbed Stock from a Store, and are on the way to their Home. If you capture them before they reach their goal, you can take them to Jail and return the stolen goods. Oh, and there may be a reward or some Recognition in it for you too!

Attack Player
At times, you may do something intolerable. When this happens, prepare for some negative response!

Work
When Citizens work, the city shop's stocks get full. The more that work, the faster the production!

Shop
Shopping Citizens contribute to the city's economy. This means city growth of both population and defense!

Home
Everyone needs to sleep! This is usually the final destination for the weary citizen.

Steal
Shops beware when a citizen wishes to steal. The only way to predict this is if you had some good intuition.
The City
The city has its own life. It maintains its own population and economical statistics. The more money the city has, the better it can defend itself against disasters and attacks. The less it has, the more it falls into despair. Two forces battle over the cities fate... the forces of good, and The Enclave.

City Growth
Over time, the city starts to take damage from events both natural or otherwise. To repair this damage and allow the city to grow, the city requires vast amounts of cash. It gains this cash through a properly balanced and maintained city. You may also unlock a special class that will allow you to add buildings, cops, medics, and city defenses.

The City's Economic Cycle
Citizens who leave their homes are either shopping or working... with an occational stiff who goes rogue.
  • When a citizen shops, they add 2 to the city's cash supply, but subtracts 1 from the city's stock.
  • When a citizen works, they add 1 to the city's stock supply, but subtracts 1 from the city's cash supply.
  • When a citizen robs a shop, they subtract 2 from the city's cash supply.

City Stock
Stock is required to supply shops with goods. These goods are then purchased by shopping citizens. If the city runs out of Stock due to over-purchasing or theft, shoppers can no longer spend their money... and tax revenue per purchase cannot be collected.

City Cash
City Cash is used for city upkeep, growth, and defenses. City Cash is generated either by shopping citizens, or player contributions to the ATX machine.

City Population
The city has a maximum population, which is determined by the amount of homes it possesses. The more people living in the city, the more there are to work and shop, and the faster the city's Stock and Cash is earned.

The Enclave
The Enclave are an organized crime group, bent on taking over the city. They send Robbers and Enforcers to steal and create disasters which damage and slow the cities growth. Capturing criminals and rescuing captives will damage your reputation with these guys. Capturing cops and donating cash to their head quarters will improve it.

Buildings
There are many types of buildings. Each type serve their own purpose.

Police Station
Sending cops on patrol and providing a place for you to put any pesky criminals you may have brought to its door. You may also enter this building to perform jobs for a reward.

Hospital
The hospital sends medics out to help injured citizens. You may also carry any injured citizen who may have fallen, or who you may have saved from a burning building.

Factory
Factories provide 1 City Stock for each citizen that enters the workplace. You may also enter this building to perform jobs for a reward.

Shop
Shops provide $10 for each shopper that enters a store while there is still city stock. You may also enter this building to perform jobs for a reward.

Sly's
Sly's Sleuthing is a shop that allows you to purchase dexterity based skills. These shops are usually located above ground level.

Jim's Gym
Jim's Gym is a shop that allows you to purchase strength and melee based skills. These are fairly inexpensive and located everywhere.

The Lab
Full of secrets, and ripe with security. Only qualified personnel may enter the higher security areas.

News Station
The city's source of news. Reporting on crime and those who stop it. You may also enter this building to perform jobs for a reward.

The Sewer
Beneath the city lies the twists and turns of the sewer underworld. Who knows what you might find.

The Enclave HQ
Get Enclave missions here, or perhaps enter as a cop and give them what for!

Incidents
Incidents happen randomly over time, and are triggered during certain times of the day/night cycle. The state of the city will determine the type of events.

Fires
Fires break out in the city! Use a fire extinguisher, or fly by the flames really fast to put them out. Carry the surviving citizens to the hospital before it's too late!

Giant Robot
Antagotron attacks! The giant robot stomps through the city causing destruction to its infrastructure, citizens, and possibly you! Shoot it in the eye as a super, or purchase enough defense to take it on! Only a Builder can repair the damage to the city.

Alien Abductions
Aliens are swooping down and carrying the citizens off! Shoot the saucers down and catch the falling citizens. Only then can you bring them to safety!

Alien Attacks
Alien invaders are teleporting all over the city! What do they want?

They haven't been put in yet. Unfortunately, I've been having to work too much to focus on the game. I may relaunch the Patreon campaign and hope I get enough subscribers to allow me to work on this. I still have big plans for it.
