They didn't do it better with PUBG, just differently. Same with DayZ, these games are all unfinished, unpolished, unlikely to ever be finished, and sell on hype. The best of these Battle Royale style games has to be the Survival DLC from The Division, which outshines the game itself. Eventually a AAA developer will release a finished game in the same style, would be cool if they tie it to the original Battle Royale movies.

No wonder someone else came along to do it better, i'll be picking up PUBG soon to see what that;s like.

I tried it for a bit and to me it seemed to be flawed in 2 ways, connectivity (as in sometimes the shit just disconnects you for no reason when it gets hectic) and the random unpredictable aim pattern which you can't train for to master, all you do is spam shoot and hope bullets in the near vicinity connect.

Not worth any competitive player's time, and while the review might not have been constructive it is in fact an accurate depiction of the game.
