Sailor's Ring

Description
"Ysgramor commanded the sea-ghosts to surrender his kin, and a great gale darkened the sky. The seas thrashed and churned, and a wrathful storm appeared. Ysgramor took up the oars and rowed into the storm alone." - Yngol and the Sea-Ghosts

An heirloom of an ancient mariner, the Sailor's Ring is a simple but useful item. It allows one to breath underwater, and to stay warm in the bitterest of colds.

While the water breathing is an actual game effect, the warmth is pure role playing. In the absence of boats, the ring provides the role-playing rationale for adventuring out onto (and under) the frigid waters of the Sea of Ghosts.

The ring can be found on a table in your room at the College of Winterhold. It is resting atop a note to the last tenant.

@Brandybuck If you were still debating on making the ring to work with frostfall, but didn't want it to be dependent, why not make a separate workshop mod for a ring that supports frostfall?

Yes, that's exactly what it is!

It would be epic if you would make an optional file that worked with Frostfall if you wanted to trouble yourself with doing so.

maybe you could also throw frost damage resistance on it as well.

With frost fall it is more of real threat the role-playing rationale for adventuring out onto (and under) the frigid waters of the Sea of Ghosts becomes a death wish ten minuts tops if you stay dry get wet and it is less than three then your fish food. You might consider calaboration it could be interesting to see the outcome.

You can search for it by name in the console, then add it.

can you make it so that its not in the college of winterhild. i mean, i very rarely go there, is there a console command for it?

Ahh good point. I'm glad that you put the role play element into it though. Not enough people take that into account.

I've thought about that, but then this mod would be dependent on frostfall, and unusable without it.
