Well...
I try to keep as short as possible this review.
I am a fan of Rockstar Games titles, and I wanted to have these "definitive edition" versions as well in my "collection". I knew the bad reviews, but I still wanted them to try them myself, and 100% finish them like back in the old days.
- - - - Definitive Edition Trilogy bought on sale at half the price - - - -

Sticking strictly to San Andreas, for me seems the most broken version of all 3 games in the trilogy.

Pros:
-achievements
-thanks to Unreal Engine and AI upscaling tehnique the game looks kinda good, improved textures, foliage, and various new props throughout Los Santos.
-no more incompatibility issues (at least for me). I had no issues during these 21h of gameplay, no crashes, black screens etc.
-the autosave and checkpoint feature (very helpful)

Cons:
-the controls in this port are absolutely garbage. Keep in mind if you play with mouse and keyboard.
Also, the key bindings are not the same as you remember in original, at least not all of them. I know they ported the mobile port to pc of this trilogy but cmon ... it feels so bad to play. (p.s. : good luck flying a plane or a helicopter)
-NPCs and player textures are horrific, the are anomalies of what they used to be.
-for veteran fans who played a lot the original versions: the screwed up the atmosphere of this games, no more specific skyboxes, they are all the same in all 3 games.
-audio. I don t know how they managed to broke down the sounds..... very poor syncing and something feels very odd about radios and characters voicelines, it seems like is a separate volume for each one now.. also, some cars/bikes sounds are broken too (when you get max speed they sound like a truck high speed sound)
-very dark areas(also in missions). It is now a brightness setting issue..
-the LOD is pure ♥♥♥♥... the distant objects, terrain looks like melting icecream. And trust me, even if you are a person who doesnt care about attention to details.. you will notice it, trust me.
-a lot of bugs and textures not having the correct collision.
-the game is not optimized at all

I started to think for a second why this definitive edition trilogy pack is getting a lot of good reviews, because the games doesn't merit them at all. Maybe there are alot of persons who never played the original games, and somehow enjoy these, or maybe there are persons who only want a bit of fun, and felt nostalgic, not remembering the old games.

I got to admit, I had a liitle bit of fun playing these games in the "HD" (let s call it) state.
But, I cannot give a good review, not for these rushed versions, butchered by a "mobile games" dev company
