im basing this review on what it is and not what it can become.
although a janky mess, its genuinely a fun and addictive game, with non restrictive class set ups and a rich open world with lore and character behind every boulder and rock. the main quest however suffers from "end of the world" syndrome where it feels like it sorta rushes you through it. have no fear though because this game offers many other quests to sink your teeth into, included the added DLC of DRAGONBORN, DAWNGUARD and HEART FIRE. where you can settle down, fight the first dragon born, or fight a vampire lord, or become one. there's also a plethora of radiant quests available.
and of course, its a highly modifiable game, any short coming you have with the game can most definitely be solved with mods. on both the nexus mod website and the in built mod tab (which has been haphazardly crammed into the creations tab as of last update, so go with nexus if you wish to mod the game)
besides that, for a game made in 2011, it holds up surprisingly well graphically, of course, it does show its age.
i recommend this to any one looking for not only a great RPG, but a RPG where you can teanker with every facet of the game to your liking exactly.
