As far as I know, this was Squaresoft (now Square Enix) 1st RPG game that focused in collecting companions throughout the end. Finished it once on PSX in 2000 once but never proceeded to play NG+ to completed the missing path to collect companions. now playing it on 15" Laptop with Ryzen S5, Radeon Graphic, 16Gb Ram and didn't encounter any screen freeze along the scene/battle way like ppl complained; but I did received dialog that my VRAM is insufficient that made their 3D cinematic pixel ran not so well; other than that ran very good. my POV playing this game are as follow:
1. This is classic, so do not expect for magnificent graphic;
2. Strongly advised to use guide / walkthrough: many hidden items / elements to collect and path to choose that lead to different ending (like Visual Novel but in RPG style);
3. Battle management are simple:
a) only manage innate for each char/foe,
b) Only Attack and Magic (element) for charging,
c) Leveling up is easy, no need grinding. for those seeking perfection, ofc the need to grind.
Some bosses are hard to defeat but luckily they are optional but the reward item is fruitful.
4. What-to-Do is also easy and foes are surprisingly NO-hard to defeat with/without strategy --> Doable to finish;
5. Frankly up till now I do not get any pinch of the grand idea of storyline, and their correlation to their predecessor one: Chrono Trigger. Just enjoy collecting Companion and Element to manage Innate;
6. As a melancholic, INTP lady like me, still enjoy listening to their list of soundtrack on Sp***fy while working. if I could nominate Their best Soundtrack every year on Steam, I'd love to choose this FOR SURE.
7. Lastly, I wanna thank Square Enix for bringing this game to live on Steam/PC but I'm truly sad that Ppl rate "No-Recommend" because of Frame Rate/ screen freeze or whatsoever but please kindly address their complain seriously. This game is worth to try

First off, I thought this game is connected to Kingdom Heart franchise, as I saw Rindo like Roxas and Neku like Sora, but I was totally wrong. This has different characters, plot and gameplay… Tbf, I wasted precious me-time 40H just running around maps, enjoying slang teen dialogues, fetching quests and engaging in battles without minding my progress stuck at 23%! But I finished the game by 66% progress in 80H playtime then proceeded to 100% in 194H. My play experiences are as follows:
1. Invest abundant of playtime. This game cannot be finished by merely 50H.
2. Use playthrough/guide is a must, unless you wanna waste time like I did.
3. Each difficulty level: Easy, Normal, Hard and Ultimate has their own counter of achievement. Only Normal is unlock for starter. Others will be unlocked by spending FP on specific character.
4. Complicated battle systems: equipping and mastering pins, minding its affinity to the mob/boss’s weakness, drop rate, chained battles, time trial battles, groove ability, the power of threads in each brand, social networks, cuisines like/dislikes of each player and many more to manage!
5. Throughout the game, 0nly Beat made me wannabe teenager again.
6. This game is a Masterpiece. So don’t cha dare to call yourself “Challenge Seeker”, if you don’t collect all grafitti!

Hoa starts off as an easy, slow, breathtaking, and blissful play by just watching its background and hearing its great calming piano back-sound...seriously this is the first game that made me took a lot of screenshots whenever the screen slide...but idk whether I'm bad at playing game with a lot of jumping/double-jump, body-swing, flying and slide control, it started to get me frustrated from the rock map and the top hit was on the forest of Ladybug and now I'm stuck underwater...like bruuh why I got a light headache after playing it.
so, nope...this isn't for me but in case I miss playing it, then I'll just replay the first 2 maps

Nevertheless I still recommend this game for those who are fine with much jumping/double-jump, body-swing, flying and slide control

Pleased to discover a classic PSX game like FFVIII is in Steam and a legal one!
I finished this game twice on PSX back in 1999-early 2001 and not be able to finish when playing using Emulator in PC (altho already defeated Ultima Boss in deep-sea excavation). No doubt Squall was and is my first-love Male Lead in game and Rinoa is still and ALWAYS be my fashion looks that I'd love to mimic irl. my fans and past crush were approaching me by stating their interest in this game...offering me to play together at their place for 3-4 Hours and some of them made their looks like Squall does to attract me (without the forehead scar ofc LOL). We were sooo silly back then but ikr it made our youth more colorful :3
FFVIII indeed has romance explicitly and the last boss already like a heartless step-mom who separate lovebirds using black-magics and trances. in the end, it just made the two of them getting closer and their simp stronger...argh, what am I trying to say by giving spoilers.
So, for you-in-love or have a crush with someone, invite them to play this game with you and enjoy togetherness like Squall and Rinoa

I'm mesmerized with a game that has 2.5D background, so beautiful and colorful! and so is the musics.
Altho this game is common classic female-protagonist JRPG that has battle, my experiences :
1. New Game is set in easy Mode and you are already overpowered. New Game+ is in difficult one;
2. Simple battle system and inventory management;
3. NO grinding for leveling-ups;
4. Main plot is truly short if you stick to it (presumably primary school kid can also play this easy game..lol);
5. For Limited-Me-Time-Playing-RPG like me, this game is doable cause all you have to do is fetching quests..finishing a quest gains exp as well as money

my warnings: if you are a challenge-seeker or fetching-the-same-quest-in-the-same-map-over-and-over-isn't-your-thing, this game isn't for you. otherwise it's worth to try

Misao has a simple plot and gameplay: to seek for key items, to lift the curse, to make the school back to how it was then to find Misao. I thought altho this is a horror genre I would find happy-end here but apparently not..but it was so funny that you have to discover your deaths..so many death routes and you might back to screen title with surprise in the middle of playing. this game is into my liking cause need not to grind, just solve simple puzzle, get all achievements fast and finish the game within half day. will replay someday when the mood match after finishing other games

Dang! playing 13 mins but I became this upset...I truly loathe NTR and overwhelmingly insane genre...Poor Ayaaa..come to me dear...I swear I'll be your loving and caring autie. I'll chainsaw the rest hahahahahahahahahaha

this game is super easy, most dialogues are hilarious and no need for grinding except you wanna get all badges. I think it's still in development so plot is totally incomplete tho (Presumably Ep 1 only 15% of the whole game). Await for Episode 2/3/4/5/final to come out
