Give me a game where I can speed up cut scenes and farm blobs and I'm happy. I've been waiting for this one for a few years now and - despite backing the kickstarter (for a nintendo switch copy), I "purchased" (that is, got my partner to gift me) the early access here on steam because I wanted to support the developer. Additionally, I bought a steam copy even though I don't usually play games on my laptop - I prefer console gaming - but I really want to play this game now.

The blobs are adorable and I can't wait to start making combinations and mixes (although, I'm not there yet, which is fine, I'm feeling out the rest of the game and getting used to the town, blobs and their care and the farming).

The people living in the town all have their own personalities and while I'm worried about that one kid whose parents are overbearing (poor guy couldn't even join the egg hunt) and don't like that one bully kid, those emotions show how quickly I've grown attached to some of the characters in this game. I like that I can battle pretty much anyone (almost lost to a few as well, I ran away first) and that everyone has their own personal blob.

To be honest, this is the kind of game I really love so there is bias in this review. Monster taming and farming sim is one of my favourite game combinations. If you don't like day to day sim games, this is probably not for you. However, if you do, it has a lot going for it.
