Timeless. Masterpiece. Go watch LazyPurple he did a great job reviewing it, I can't really say anything he hasn't. Plus it's (practically) free (especially if you have social anxiety and don't want to communicate anyway).

Early Access Review
Short form: the game is replayable and fun with an immersive and creative combat system. Very good.

Long form:
With the addition of my 50 hours on the free demo, I am closing in on my first hundred hours, and my opinion on the game (as of now, it's only going to get better) is quite clear.Despite this game still being in an early access-like state, it already feels like a mostly completed product. The development is constant, the gameplay is solid, satisfying and replayable (holy cow is it replayable), and the price is just right for an unfinished game (honestly it's worth more in my opinion). The variety of equipment (of which there are over 200 from my understanding, I might be off here) isn't just eye candy; all the different qualities and prices of armor and all the different weapon types and their statistics allow for many different builds and strategies and add a rather vital career management part to the game. Outside of the outstanding combat, there are many ways to influence your playthrough. There are Scollo upgrades, random events, patron events, training, betting, all of which have the potential to increase the chance of your aspirant's survival (some can decrease it). Despite the occasional "Thunderbolts send down by the Gods upon unworthy aspirants!" (physics glitches), which, in my opinion add a certain charm to the game, the physics-based combat system is fun, immersive and creative - it allows me to slice a guy up in at least 4 different (but all incredibly satisfying) ways! Blocking isn't just pressing a button either - you have to put your weapon/shield/apple inbetween you and the opponent's attack, manually! This mechanic is increadibly more satisfying than a lot of other games' interpretation of blocking. All the different backgrounds for your future aspirant - blacksmith's apprentice, criminal scum, thrill-seeking civilian - just to name a few - contribute to the already insane replayability the game has. Each of these backgrounds gives certain buffs, debuffs, and a victory condition to the aspirant. Also, the fact that retiring aspirants with a background you haven't retired before gives all future aspirants a buff, which adds incentive to complete all of these interesting and distinct backgrounds. Overall, the game is fun, immersive and creative. If you enjoy gladiator fights and rogue-light games, you should give this game a shot.

Also, join the game discord and join the army of people telling Jordy (the dev, was solo at first but got a small team recently) to add multiplayer :)

Allows for a lot of creativity, and the campaign looks quite good. I just wish that the horses, ballistas, minotaurs etc. were available variants like the stiffy and the halfling instead of us having to do a bit of work in the files (which I'm too lazy to do).

Fun but a little grindy if you're f2p, great graphics, gameplay and variety of vehicles and gamemodes.
