Honestly, apart from the amazing parkour mechanics, not much else kept me engaged in this series. Missions are bland, repetitive, with little to no variations between them. The plot was inconsistent, as if written in haste without any critical afterthought. The assassin brotherhood is portrayed as narcissistic snobs bent on having things go their way without any due consideration in change of tactics or approach to situations.

no wonder fan base is pissed off with this franchise. Incompetent writing, inconsistent characters, abysmal plot holes and buggy gameplay. Ubisoft really needs to listen to their core audience if they really want to be relevant in the coming years. For now, i'm done with this franchise. There are better games out there. Don't invest your money and time in this franchise yet.

Fun puzzle game for achievement hunting. Similar to the room series.

parkour is clunky, the one thing i enjoyed in older AC games was their smooth parkour mechanic. Was getting stuck around edges on many occasions. The story even felt inconsistent, i mean why could' the assassin brotherhood not offer a simple, reasonable explanation to Shay (MC) regarding the precursor sites instead of berating him about rebelling against them was just lazy writing.

I still like the overall theme they were going for, but at the current state of ubisoft, i can't really recommend it. It needs work.

I hope more AC games in the future focus on the Templar side of the story as well. Shay is a well written character i want to see more templars like him in future AC releases (but i highly doubt it considering the current abysmal state of UBISOFT shenanigans with microtransactions and inconsistent retelling of historical events) and ofcourse same goes for Haytham Kenway!

Beautiful game, amazing background music, don't be fooled by the cute aesthetics, the boss battles are fun and challenging. I loved it! 💯😍

Playing this in 2024. We really need more games like these.

Basically watered down version of 'the room' puzzles, but fun for achievement farming.

ACT III definitely needs more work, in terms of making more of the inner city available for exploration, missions and character interactions.

My companions wishlist for main story campaign other than existing ones:

- True soul Nere
- Hobgoblins! (like Dror Ragzlin or even Blurg from the underdark)
- Goblin war bosses, warlocks, ones who can summon, giant spiders, wargs,
- would love a feature which allows to summon a minotaur (once per short/long rest) either as a barbarian or ranger, or goblins
- having non-romancable companions like sassy dark humored dwarfs, gnomes, or any other stoic character from another race would've been amazing addition to the gameplay

But all in all, i f***** love this game!

Larian Studios definitely deserve the love they are receiving from the gaming community right now! The voice actors are just brilliant in their performances, characters are relatable in their personal motives, except romancing them seems a bit too forced sometimes tbh.

'Mad Dogs', please make part 2 of this epic game! Its been in a while since i got so emotionally invested in a game. Really hope that part 2 comes out in my lifetime, it would be worth the wait. Thanks devs, this was a great virtual ride of a lifetime!

Uruk voice actors are gigachads! Shadow of Mordor series is exactly what i expected when i saw that we would be hanging around mordor to kill, turn orcs to betray their masters and many other diabolical things. Fighting mosters gets a bit tedious at times.

But all in all, if they make another LOTR game, with same or voice actors of similar calibre, i will buy!
