Badass game been playing it since I was a freshman in high school in 2000 took a LONG break from the game cause I didn't have a PC but when I could afford my own, I purchased my own just over six months ago. I began practicing and trying to get some of my long lost skill back. Also Started comping first the first time ever which has been somewhat of a downer because of all the HACKERS and server DDOSERS, Valve made it to where you had to pay for prime and no longer could get it for free which seemed to help at first just a little but now it's worse than before it seems with more hackers than ever just literally hacking their way through the ranks and not getting a VAC BAN for it. It's pretty sad how many of the hackers actually say they will never get BANNED and how they just walk around like they are above the rules and regulations and support this game and have kept it on top for so many years. I fear if something isn't done soon Match Making is going to take a huge hit from lack of players to comp with because everyone is going to go to faceit or another platform due to the hacking just being out of control. It has definitely lost it's shine as far as what it was when it came out and how much the engine had changed with the benefit of the perks that CS GO offers compared to the 1.4/1.5/Source days. Those perks are no good if you can't even join a comp with 4 of you friends and you're up 8-1 and you're sure it's a win and all of a sudden a team mate on the other team toggles and just starts spinning and cracking you through walls you normally can't shoot through from across the map. Other than that casual and deathmatch are really fun and rarely do you in-counter a hacker in those servers and if you do everyone is usually really quick to vote kick them.
So all and all it's a pretty exciting game for how old it is there's nothing quite like it with the spray patterns of each gun and the sounds and mechanics it's really an amazing game but the hackers have really ruined the MM scene as far as things sit right now,
