This game has grown on me a lot. I've been playing it since a year before Chapter 3 (Decay) was released. Even then, I was surprised at what the game had to offer, especially the subject of the burial-questionable route. But now, with the release of Chapter 3, I'm shocked by how insane the endings are. The dead-end one was shocking because of how sudden it all came to be (plus the traumatization part of it).
The Shots and Such ending was insane to even think about, let alone experience it through playing the game. Both of these endings have the same event happen right before the endings themselves, and that event is also really jarring. (can't say any more without spoiling)
I'm anticipating another great update to finish off the third (cliffhanger) ending, but even as it stands, it was really grasping. Solving all the puzzles and unlocking parts of Andrew's past along the way was a great way to tell his story, bit by bit.

One thing I also love about this game is how much the end of the story depends on what you were doing during the puzzles. Not to spoil anything, but if you find an item during a puzzle that just looks like an Easter egg, the ending of the game (Shots and Such) depends fully on it.

The writing of this game I can confidently say that it's better then a ton of movies I've seen or books I've read. The way the story is told, the characters, all the discussions, arguments, dialog, monolog is just too good.

For how simple the game is to understand, This is the one game I'll give a 10/10 rating to. No need to complicate the mechanics (puzzles), No need to fix the script and definitely NO need to change the subject of the game, because no other games have this type of outright horrifying subject in them and nothing can replicate the experience packed with emotion the developers made with this masterpiece. The only psychological horror that you will ever need to play.
