The Inflated Adventures of Brad Bighead
A Tale of Ego and Embarrassment


Once upon a time, my friend had a sister who was dating the most insecure egotistical guy on the planet named Brad. He was constantly talking about how great he was and how he was the best at everything. He even bragged about how he could beat the world champion at rock-paper-scissors.

One day, we were all playing Minecraft and my friend and I got into a heated argument about which Pokemon was the best to use in the game. The egotistical little man Brad overheard us and decided to chime in, claiming he knew everything there was to know about Minecraft and Pokemon.

But when we asked him a few questions, he quickly realised he didn't know as much as he thought he did. Instead of admitting he was wrong, he started lying to everyone in our friend group about what happened.

He twisted the story around, making it seem like I had insulted him and said he was stupid. In reality, I was defending him and telling my friend not to be too hard on him. But the egotistical pride got in the way, and he couldn't handle the idea of someone not liking him when it wasn't true to being with.

He eventually left our friend group, calling me childish and immature. But deep down, he knew the truth. He knew he had let his pride and ego control him, he couldn't face the reality that he had messed up. So he walked away and left our friend group thinking I didn't like him.

Still believing it was the best thing to do even though he knew nothing was really wrong, it was a big misunderstanding but what do you know the power of EGO has entered Brad's brain he couldn't fathom the embarrassment he was wrong.

The rest of us just shook our heads and went back to playing Minecraft, grateful that we didn't have to deal with his insecurities and lies anymore. As for the best Pokemon to use in the game? That's still up for debate.

In the end, Brad's behaviour didn't change, and my friend's sister eventually broke up with him. I learned that pride and ego can cause a lot of problems, and it's always better to be humble and honest. Embarrassment happens with life some cant handle it.....Brad.
