The Emperor sent the Space Wolves to punish Magnus, leading to the razing of Prospero.

Afterwards, the Thousand Sons were scattered and mutated. Many were transformed into Rubric Marines, their psychic might bound within their armor due to a curse. Their tragic fate is to forever seek redemption while serving the whims of Tzeentch.
