Nice puzzles, beautiful atmosphere and soundtrack, engaging combat, would buy again

Overall, a fairly good experience for being free
Would've been nice if the gramophone and handgun achievements worked, had to us SAM to get them after doing it in game

This is less of a game with a goal in the classic sense, but a reflection on that need for a goal, along with other critiques. If you're looking for something shooty shooty and with objectives, this isn't for you. However, if you're looking for an experience that tells a cautionary tale about creators, consumers and critics, relationships and boundaries, all very prevalent and important topics in this day and age, then this is for you.

I remember watching content of this game but never really being able to resonate with it because I didn't play it, but in my opinion, it was worth the purchase just to get that more connected and closer feel with the ideas this game is presenting. I rate it 9/10, thought provoking and helpful

Wow... just.. just wow...

Okay, so, I'm not one for writing reviews, i normally just buy a game and then play and that's really it. But I feel like this has a lot of negative reviews and personally, I'd like to add my take to it. Firstly, I'd like to state that I adored the original game, I absolutely loved it. How diverse the endings were, how funny they were, the narrator's voice, everything really. It was a worth while experience. Now, with the ultra deluxe, I'd say it was worth the buy, personally. The thing to understand is that, a review doesn't make a game, it's just how the game affected a person. I look at these negative reviews saying that you shouldn't buy the game, and that it was too expensive and i just feel like i gotta add in my two cents. I will admit, the overall content was less than expected, but it was more than what was in the original game, and i'd say in parts even better. Before i head into spoiler territory, i'd like to justify the price. Sure, it seems pretty expensive but keep in mind, this is including the original game too. It's as if a dlc was combined with the original game, hence the price. It's understandable how this might seem like a turn off, and i agree. They should've just done this as a dlc, but i guess that doesn't have as much weight to it as it's own game. Basically, if you enjoyed the Stanely Parable and you can afford the ultra deluxe, i heavily recommend you buy it. Anyways into a smidge bit of spoiler territory: Practically, the game is split into 3 parts in my opinion. The Intro, the main part and the "ending"/epilogue. And yes, you read that right, unlike the first game there are proper intros and a proper finishing moment. The simple fact that it has that should speak volumes about how different the Ultra Deluxe edition is. The intro is simple, you begin the game and go through a couple endings, everything is normal except for the newer graphics. After a few times of just going through the game and experiencing nostalgia, the intro begins and it's a whole sequence. I will try my best to avoid spoilering the exact details about it, but it's incredibly funny and contains the witty humour of the original. Once the "intro" has finished (which lasts a good hour or so, at least for me) you're let back into the main gameplay loop of the game. All of the endings in the original have been doubled, the paths to them stay the same but the newer endings are affected by an object you pick up, which changes all the dialog and even the endings too, pretty wildly at times. I could never anticipate what would happen, it was all fresh and unexpected every time. Some of the endings got deep too, I really enjoyed them. Once you fulfil a certain objective, you unlock the epilogue. This goes on for about 10ish minutes, depending on how fast you go, and is artistic. Actually, the variety, diversity and the atmosphere of this game is incredible, and i can't praise it enough. Anyways, the new content is an intro + outro + double the dialog/endings of the original game. Now i see that as a fit price to pay, if you take in all of the game. I think that's all i wanted to cover. - I didn't exactly spoil details about the game, rather just how much content was in it and how it played out. This is my first time writing a review this big, but i just really wanted to praise this game. I'd personally rate it a 7/10. Worth the buy and heaps of fun!

Really good story, It got me attached to the characters and I really enjoyed it, It may run slowly on some systems.

It's a bit overpriced in my opinion but otherwise a fun game with a neat gameplay mechanic that makes it worth the purchase if your really love portal and portal 2.

I highly recommend this game! It is very nice to play and even has some replay ability to it.
