I have to admit that I like the NON-HD version more than HD one, BUT it has it's own perks, so both of them good in their way. Some things are exactly alike comparing with non-HD version - gameplay, ost. Some things are different. Anyway - 2nd Encounter HD is better than the 1st SS HD. You wonder why there are not so many reviews? HD version is kind buggy - sometimes achievements work - sometimes they don't. Sometimes your overall game time works - sometimes don't. Sometimes even your cloud saves are broken, or your stats shows that your best advanced level is the 2nd while you nearly completed the game. Yeh bugs are the weak sid of the HD rework.

Blood is an exemplary first person shooter with a lot of balancing issues back in the day. Fresh Supply updates the systems to a modern interpretation with fully customizable options that finally let me play with the maximum number of enemies available on the hardest difficulty while ensuring the deadly accuracy of the cultists who can shred you from 200 + full armor to 0hp in the blink of an eye is at the "normal" difficulty. Fresh Supply is "Blood as you remember it" but actually manageable and it's amazing how well the core design still holds up.

This is the spiritual successor to just about everything you played on a 486 in that small apartment. It runs on PC, Android, and can muliplay between them. The tech tree is simple. Hammer, Bigger Hammer, Specialty Hammer, Nukes. You don't need to build an ultra-uber-monster-widget in order to get the other widget. There are some simple types of construction facilities and they can usually be upgraded to what you need to get bigger hammers. There is a specialty hammer center. Nukes can be built with a level 1 builder. Everything runs on a single resource. You can mine it or you can generate it with things that are expensive and inefficient at first. Basically, you need it. It's fun, runs on your phone and even runs on your gaming system with gigs of ram and a 2080!

This game was much better than Episode One, but it still had issues. The supporting characters get in your way a lot, and sometimes will get you killed; they want to stand immediately behind you and sometimes they will accidentally nudge you in a direction. I hated having to carry the gnome around to get the achievement. I would often get killed or badly injured after inadvertently walking over the gnome when it was on the ground; I don't know why it does this, but I would suggest saving often if you're carrying it around with you. Also, there is a section where you will drive a vehicle, and the gnome slides around in the vehicle and will fall out. So, you have to basically shoot the gnome ahead of you, then drive to it's new location, and repeat. It's a lot of work for that achievement! I also had a few issues with the game freezing up and I would have to reload, but it wasn't nearly as bad as Episode One, and nowhere near as horrible as Black Mesa! Another gripe is that the game would constantly prompt you what you needed to do by notifying you; i.e. "press F to use flashlight". I hate when a game treats me like an idiot. Too many games do that these days. There should be an option to turn off hints.

i have played many games in my life and not once has a game made me so incredibly excited that i become aroused every time i finish a level in this game my pants are drenched in jizz from the sheer orgasmic gameplay everytime i shoot the super shotgun i bust a huge nut in my underwear i have to do the laundry every day because of how many pairs of underwear i went through playing doom 1 and 2 definetly one of the games of all time 10/10
