This game is horrible and feels like every area was designed to be as miserable as scientifically possible. They put groups of 3-8 enemies behind every corner that will all attack at once. Half the time your waist deep in water or some status building liquid. None of the bosses go beyond swing left swing right maybe swing left again, shoot janky projectile, or stomp they have 0 mechanical depth whatsoever the difficulty lies in healing taking 2-4 days to finish the animation so you almost always get hit for healing. Almost every single encounter is a gank fight that the game simply was not built for. When you get into a 1v1 with a boss(on the 1 or 2 occasions that happens) the game can be fun but good god are they the most simple attacks ever. This could be partially on me but this is also the most confusing souls game progression wise. Half the bosses send you back to the start with little guidance on where to go next. And when you do find out where to go this game has so many different ways of punishing you for just trying to explore and interact with the game. Wether it’s wasting single use items for on doors that open to enemies/dead ends or one way hallways that let the 18 enemies chasing you trap you.Easily the worst souls game in the entire genre and im glad they learned from their mistakes(and hopefully fired the devs of this one).

also why does every enemy shoot projectiles or run you down through the entire map???

iv beaten it like 4 times so i feel like at this point i'm obligated to give it a good review. This game is a 10/10 almost all the way through and every time i beat the game I always find some other weapon i wanna play it again with. The perfect souls game to jump into the series(or return to) as if something is too hard you can just leave and come back 10 hours later and stomp it like a bug.
