aight so when i first got HZD i remember thinking "damn this is the greatest game of all time!!!" then people online informed me that i am an autistical incel and that i'll never truly understand the pinnacle of gaming if i havent tried god of war. SO it comes to pc and i say "♥♥♥♥♥ it ill buy it and try it out". Yeah that was a bad idea, the gameplay is honestly clunky and slow, the enemies are literally reskins of eachother, the minibosses are all the same (like literally the EXAT SAME THING EVERY TIME). The story is boring and they keep extending it uneccessarily. Theres nothing to do in the game besides puzzels and bonking enemies. it makes no sense that it takes kratos 30 hits to kill a zombie while he can bveat gods to death with his bare hands. the graphics are good tho.

Early Access Review
Graphics:
•Arcade game
•bad
•meh
•good
•great ✅
•perfect
The graphics are great, especially up close (highest settings), I wish it was possible to set you view distance (distance at which the game renders grass, bushes etc) without having to type in a command on the console every time I log in

Music/Sound effects:
•bad
•meh
•good✅
•great
•stunning
The music is good but not amazing, I usually just turn on Spotify instead, the sound effects are only useful if your exploring because they can tell you if an enemy is approaching, otherwise they are a bit overwhelming.

Gameplay (walking moving interacting with things etc):
•bad
•meh
•good
•great
•perfect✅
Satisfactory’s gameplay is smooth, reliable and fun, everything just makes sense.
Playtime:
•2-4 hours
•10-15
•20-40
•40-60
•never ending ✅
While satisfactory DOES have a progression system, there is still so much to do once finishing it, gathering power slugs, finishing the research trees, getting all the hard drives and just building and optimizing stuff will add unlimited hours onto your world, and if you get bored, try the multiplayer or start a new world or get some mods!

Bugs/glitches:
•bad (everywhere)
•Meh (they’re there)✅(multiplayer)
•good (rare)
•great (almost never)✅(single player)
•perfect (never)

Seeing as satisfactory is in early access, CSS still has a ways to go before the bugs are exterminated. My friend came in my world and was apparently accosted several times with bugs, but I was able to go onto someone else’s world and have no bugs. I very rarely have issues in single player, when I do it’s usually due to conveyor belts or wacky hit boxes.

Pc specs:
•potato
•meh
•good✅
•great
•NASA
Satisfactory IS well optimized, but players with lower end PCs will be turning things down, which always sucks.

Price:
•only on sale
•overpriced
•perfect✅
•underpriced
30€ for more than 260 hrs and counting? Need I say more? Better than 60€ for Valhalla just to find out I need to fish for 30 hrs just to finish the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game (♥♥♥♥ u Ubisoft).

Final Verdict:
Satisfactory is a beautiful game with an amazing community (the discord is great) of both kidders and players. The Mod tool is super easy, just click the mods you want and restart the game (although some mods can cause crashes and other issues). It has bugs and the Epic-Steam multiplayer is terrible and takes forever to troubleshoot, if your getting it from recommendation of going to recommend it to a friend, make sure they get it on the same platform as you. The graphics are cool and impressive, the music and sound effects are good as well; There’s also a nice photomode that can be used while moving to helpfully allow you to zoom in. No payment required after buying the game and all updates are free, the devs clearly care a TON about the game and are pretty transparent with future updates, doing weekly update videos and engaging with the community. All around amazing game that I’m extremely glad to own.

So I recently got this game on pc, had it on ps4 with about 150 hours spread across a few different saves. Thought I’d leave a review for anyone who’s thinking of getting the game. I’ll just make a quick checkbox for a few key points and then explain my answers:

-Audio
-Excellent
-very good
-decent
-bad
-ear rape
So for this I’m gonna go with decent, just to be clear this is very different from the soundtrack. I chose defent for one reason only, it’s honestly a bit of a nitpick but it’s still an annoying feature. Basically there are these “recordings” left by the ancients (us) and upon scanning them, Aloy ( main character) can listen to them. Now personally I find that the recording add a lot to the story, and give some cool insight on how people thought at the time. But there’s a problem with these recordings; if Aloy says something out loud, and it’s not in a cutscene, the recording will keep playing, and if she’s talking to Sylens (basically a creepy dude who helps her along the way by communicating thru her scanning device), those conversations are longer, meaning u have four audio sources at once: Aloy/Sylens, the game sound effects, music and the recording itself. This is annoying bc the only way to avoid this is to pause the recording, and if then if it’s interesting enough you will have to search through a very longggg list of scanned recordings. Like I said, it’s a nitpick, but it bothers me a LOT. Other than the sound effects ( audio) are pretty good, they’re very in time with movement like walking/running, and especially with machines, so a gold star for that one.

Music
-Life changing
-amazing
-decent
-bad
-I’d rather listen to YouTube ads

For this category I chose amazing, the music has sort of wild yet beautiful taste, which perfectly personifies Aloy. Overall the music is great-got nothin to complain about. I’d just like to say that in the scene where SPOILER ALERT you see how Elisabet Sobek dies the music was stunning, probably my favorite part of the game.

Controls
-easy
-hard
-difficult
-just not fun

This was a difficult choice ngl, in the end I think I’m gonna say “difficult”, to start off, the default controls are terrible ( sorry if u like them but I can’t stand them ) after playing around with them I got them down, but in the end, this WAS a game designed for PlayStation so I do suggest using a console controller, your aim will not be severely affected I can promise, and any aim you lose is made up for by the ease and fluidity of the console controls.

Graphics
-STUNNING
-Very very good
-good
-ok
-bad
-1 bit

So after story, this is by far my favorite part of the game, the developers at guerilla perfectly captured all of the map, withhhh a few problems. I’ll start with the good: the people are amazing, you can count hairs, see pores and the eyes move realistically. Also the amount of detail that is given to the machines is wonderful, and animations are the best I’ve seen in any game...now for the bad. Despite the attention to detail, there are some problems, even with the graphics turned to ultimate with a constant 55+ FPS, some parts of the game lack depth, objects such as rope are no more than long rectangles with blurry lines on them, which from a distance of more than 3 meters is unoticable, so not horrible, just need some touching up. A similar problem is shown in rocks, for some reason this only appears in some rocks, and I’ll try to explain it as best I can, from a distance of 2 meters the rock looks fine, normal. Once u push ur face into it , however, you’ll notice that while some rocks remain perfectly realistic no matter how lose you get, other blur and quite Frank’s look terrible in comparison to their surrounding counterparts. In action, it’s not noticeable, but to anyone who really cares about graphics, this may bother you. The only other problem in the graphical design is hair, it lacks fluidity and has the magical ability to phase through Aloys ears (???), it’s weirdly stiff and has a mind of its own, this is by far the worst part of the graphics, it’s a thief person game, so a part u can see CLEARLY is the back of her head, where her hair has decided to move house into her brain via her ears. It’s not horrible all thing s considered, but I hope they patch it in the new release (Horizon Forbidden West).

Storyline
-perfect
-good
-ok
-bad
-there is none ( intentionally)
-there is none (unintentionally)

Alright the story is absolutely beautiful, well pieced together and is definitely movie worthy, ♥♥♥♥ it, the whole damn game is movie worthy. But anyways, I won’t spoil much but basically humans screwed things up ( as we are wont to do) and made some killer robots that go rogue and eat everything, but thru some complicated AI stuff humans manage to recreate life on earth, several hundreds of years later. These new people dont know anything about their ancestors, only that they created the massive steel revenants and towers that are all over ( ruined cities). You are a young huntress who has to destroy an evil AI before it can destroy all life again. The way I put it doesn’t make it seem all that special, and in reality, the central idea isn’t. It’s the level of detail and fullness of the plot that makes it so amazing. So far I have found 0 plot holes, a rare thing nowadays, and have continued to enjoy replaying it over and over. Besides the main story, there are at least 70 other smaller errands, quests and other enemies to fight. With machines as part of the equation, the fighting has a fun diversity of fighting powerful machines to sneaking up behind bandits and striking them from the bushes. The DLC (frozen wilds) is really cool and adds at least another 25 hours of gameplay as well as new machines, weapons, currencies and areas to explore.

So in conclusion it’s ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ magnificent game, no matter what platform your on. The DLC is 100% worth purchasing and waiting for a sale is not necessary. If you liked the format for Witcher 3, this is an excellent game for you. Highly recommend purchasing and I hope you enjoy
