Never really played this sort of game before but it was a lot of fun creating strong combos. Try the demo to see if it's your thing.

Recent update nuked mod libraries, clearly rushed update that also bugged side missions and other things. I despise Epic Games support as well.

Infuriatingly fun, and the online levels are incredible

Is an extremely good and realistic space simulator. It allows you to do literally anything you want. The Career mode feels a bit grindy and boring, science mode is my preferred mode, as you don't instantly have like a million parts at your disposal, which is what sandbox feels like. The tech tree is immense and requires a lot of exploration to complete, and doesn't feel as grindy as career modes "contracts". A recent update added some new missions (which are preset scenarios) made in collaboration with the European Space Agency, which include the Rosetta mission (you must land on a comet) and the BepiColombo mission (a mission to mercury - or in kerbal, moho). Overall, an excellent game with a sequel on the way as well. Take Two, the publisher has been involved in some dodgy business though.
