Gangsterskie podziemia wielkich amerykańskich miast, to dla przeciętnego Polaka wyimaginowany przez speców od marketingu egzotyczny świat. Uliczne porachunki mafiosów i życie w gettach XXI wieku, są nam obce, bo stanowią całkowicie odmienną wizję rzeczywistości od tej, jaką uczono nas postrzegać w nadwiślańskiej teraźniejszości. Stany Zjednoczone i Polskę dzieli ogromna różnica kulturalna, ekonomiczna i światopoglądowa. Zza oceanu dochodzą do nas ukształtowane przez komercyjne przedsięwzięcia informacje o różowym świecie przestępczym w USA. Etos czarnoskórego gangstera to świetny temat na hollywoodzkie hity, zaś dla fircyków stroniących od szerszych spodni to świetny temat na wyśmiewanie ziomalskich klimatów.
