This game is a timeless masterpiece.

I stand by what I said. But Valve's neglect of the game is unacceptable. For the sake of the game I love, I will do my part.

Helldivers 2 proved that our collective effort can make a difference. It is time we do the same for Team Fortress 2. We pootis together, or not at all!

Addendum 20/7/2024: Valve seems to have done its part. The bots are gone for the most part, TF2 is saved, for now. I will change my review to positive, but remain cautiously optimistic that Valve will finally cease its neglect of the game we all love.

I absolutely love this game! It has such an amazing combat system, the fights feel tight and satisfying. The enemies can be tough at first, being able to bring down your health quickly, but that's all the more incentive to play smart.

Not to spoil the story, but it's pretty underwhelming, and the endings weren't exactly satisfying. On paper, it sounds like an intruiging story, if a little cliche, but in practice it's pretty meh. Still this isn't a game about the *story*, it's about the PURGING! The skill ceiling for this game is incredibly high, and even if you've beaten the game on hardcore mode, there's always a way you can improve.

Although, I do have some gripes. Don't play on Hard mode. The enemies get a buff in damage and health, which is just making them spongier without adding anything interesting. I highly recommend getting mods for this game such as the Unlimited Edition mod. It lets you play a New Game+ to make things interesting, with all your abilities and weapons from the previous run. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a satisfying hack and slash game. And it's an Arkane Studios game, they made the Dishonoured series.
