The bolt is cylindrical, located inside a tubular receiver, which is a single unit with a perforated barrel casing. The bolt handle is located on the left, and serves as a safety catch — when it is extended towards the axis of the weapon, the bolt and the firing pin are blocked. The pistol grip, trigger guard and magazine neck are made of a single piece of plastic. The sighting devices are of the most primitive type, in principle unregulated, since they are tightly welded to the receiver. The boxed double—row magazines had a capacity of 20 or 32 rounds (10 rounds after 1994). Third-party manufacturers produced very long and impractical, but visually intimidating 50-round magazines (model AB-10).
