So cool, genuinely an amazing art piece as much as a game, awesome surreal story and visuals. It is short but I do think there is something special and really interesting about the lore and I can only hope Sonoshee arises from the dead and continues to expand on this universe.

Such a sour conclusion to an amazing series. The game felt totally rushed; the sudden release date and announcement should've been a red flag, because there are hardly any choices at all and barely any endings and content. Class of '09: The Re-Up comes at the same price tag with 2 more endings, far more choices and so much depth that this game lacks-- save your money and just get the first two games instead.

The only improvement this game has over the previous two are more hand-drawn scenes and better cutscenes for each ending. The VAs and artists carried the life out of Flipside– the writing just felt weird and at times, flat out terrible and lazy. Certain jokes are just reused in every plot line to the point where it's exhausting and unfunny (e.g Jecka's abusive father, who will lash out at her for no reason at all. This happens through almost every route, so you get bored so fast of his character.) The writer upped the shock humor to the point of being unrealistic, unrelatable and just straight up bizarre. Even if you find it inoffensive, it’s stretching reality beyond what makes this series so charming- that despite all the wacky dialogue, the characters are witty, entertaining and feel real. But instead here weird ♥♥♥♥ happens like the entire FYE route, where Kelly and Jecka discover an underground illegal porn warehouse, accessible with their employee badge, where Kelly is then shot dead by the school counselor and Jecka is sold into a Palestinian human trafficking ring BY THE POLICE??? Morals aside, plotlines like these are so confusing and unrealistic that it leaves you with a bad taste. It’s as if the writer ran out of ideas and comparing this to a more realistic but ‘shocking’ route like the school shooting ending from Class of 09, you can see where the writing falls flat. The route doesn’t feel like your choices had any connection to the ending, any build up, or any pre-established fact (such as Jeffery’s home life & mental state).

But all-in-all, you’ll be so disappointed while playing this because all you’ll be thinking about is what this game could’ve been. Jecka is an incredibly likable & interesting character, but seeing her get reduced to practically nothing but her abusive father and being Nicole’s friend in her own installment in the series felt like a disservice to the fanbase.

TLDR: Poorly written, hardly any choices or endings, NOT worth 15 bucks

The positive reviews convinced me to get this, but I guess it just wasn't for me. This game suffers from an incredibly stale gameplay loop- walk around, plug in the device that gives you instructions, solve some unintuitive puzzle and repeat. The monsters are a failed attempt to add something to this and are just nuisances. For nearly all of the monster encounters I ended up following mostly the same procedure of throwing an object somewhere when they stood in the way and slipping past them crouched with my flashlight turned off. Also loading a save in this game takes an abysmally long time, like up to 4 minutes and I don't know why??

The story is pretty enjoyable and the atmosphere really adds to this but the environment gets kinda stale considering its the entire game and pretty much every hallway looks the same, AND you pretty much do the same tasks over and over, it just feels like it drags. If sitting through slow and repetitive gameplay for a good story doesn't bother you, then I'd recommend it; otherwise, you might not find it to be worth finishing.

- Falsely advertised and lied to the Overwatch 1 playerbase about the entire premise of the game (pve additions and skilltree). Subsequently, forced players to then PAY to be able to access the pve aspects (invasion bundle). Proceeded to scrap pve after poor sales- despite it being advertised as a part of the game on OW2's launch and then simply excluded.

- Overpriced bundles that are rotated weekly to induce FOMO

- Predatory mythic prisms prices (With the release of mythic weapon skins along with the battlepass mythic, not really an excusable model)

Play the game but don't blow your money on Consumerwatch

Fun characters and scenery but really the first one or two playthroughs are the best. Reminds me of Life Is Strange 2 a bit
