Honestly, I love this game. For context, I am pretty new to the AC series of games and have only played AC: Unity before this, but this feels like such a level-up in terms of graphics, fun game designs, etc.

Total War PHARAOH Dynasties takes the best parts of Pharaoh and fixes so many of the flaws. The game is such a blast to play now! Really couldn't recommend more for fans of Bronze Age history and historical Total War games in general :)

I love Three Kingdoms history as well as the novel/popular retellings of the story, so this game really is perfect for me.

The gameplay and story is fun, and is a great improvement over the original (which is a classic in its own right!). The environment and world-building is top-notch, and something that very few Three Kingdoms games offer (one step closer to an open-world 3K game!).

Most importantly, I feel that those who love Three Kingdoms and have a good familiarity with the historical figures will really appreciate the accurate details included, while still seeing a fresh story with new faces that fit the broader historical narrative we are familiar with. A real gem of a game and a treat for both Three Kingdoms fans and newbies alike!

TW: Pharaoh is a great game, surrounded by controversy and hate bandwagonning for (IMO) very little fault of its own. It is a fun return to a historical settings with lots of quality of life features, both new and old. The campaign is fun and engaging so far. Above all, everything just works so smoothly: the battles/combat is smooth, the new mechanics are smooth, the campaign progression is smooth, and in general, the game runs smoothly - this is a big deal for me, and it is definitely the best optimized TW game to date.

EDIT: a couple patches in, and I just want to say to the CA team working on this - keep up the great work with the patches! It still is lots of fun, and I'm just getting back into the game after a break. Really looking forward to see what's to come.

Fun game and really nice story - I've only gotten a short while through it so far but it is really immersive already! I got this game on like a 90% discount so this far, far exceeded any expectations I had for getting the bang for my buck :)

It's a pretty fun game, though not the greatest in terms of campaign or battles. If you're interested in the lore and Epic Cycle, this game does have lots of things to interest you and you'll get the most out of it.

I'm coming from a TW: Three Kingdoms background for context.

I have over 500+ hours in Total War Three Kingdoms (awesome game by the way, 10/10 would recommend), and was looking for something new to try in the East Asian setting. Shogun 2 is really fun and I just completed my first campaign. There are lots of differences between this and newer games in terms of mechanics, both economy, empire management, and military, but it's easy enough to learn. Would definitely recommend giving this game a try!
